And now, after 3 Call of Duty games (4, 5 & 6) I found this tutorial so easy that I ROFL' first and didn't believe it.

Here are the steps (PS3):

1. Go to your system's settings and find "System information".
2. There's an ip-adress right there, write it up.
3. Go to your modem's/router's settings and find a setting where it says 'MZ' (DeMilitarizedZone) somewhere.
4. Input the IP you wrote-up.
5. Save settings ... TWICE.
6. Restart modem with current settings.
7. Restart PS3.
8. ????
9. PROFIT!

Note:
It didn't show TYPE 1 at first for me, but I played like 2 or 3 games and after those I was the host on nearly every game

Then I checked my NAT-type and it was 1 n.n

I don't bother explaining ie. how to get to your modem/router's settings ... find out on your own or something.

If the game says it's open, then it is open ... and you should be hosting more unless your UL sucks HARD (my upload speed = ~0,4mb) and I host quite lot now.

All I can say, is I didn't get this much hate when I made a thread with this exact idea

Actually I can't host. Ever since Modern Ware 2 the game would lag out immediately and Host Migration would come up and kick me out. I could host COD3,4, and 5 just perfectly, but with 6v6 MW2 and BO it's a nightmare for everyone.(4v4 works lol) upload = .04kb/s download 1.53kb/s. Divide those by 8 and you have the Bytes and you could see just how bad it is.

Or if you have a wireless connected PS3 restart your router and the first thing you turn on that needs internet is the PS3. Before any computer or something, all other internet stuff needs to be shut off. Will get you from Moderate or Strict to Open directly.
