(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Activision rushed them to a deadline, causing many things to be unbalanced and unfinished, such as the hidden gametype Global Thermo Nuclear war. And now, IW is screwed but i still can't understand why Activision are doing this.

If you don't know what the actual f*ck i'm talking about, read this:

Also, how the hell could Activision fire Zampella and West, if IW ISN'T owned by activision?

they can sack them if they aint employed by them, if activision say get rid of them or screw u IW, they might of had a contract to say who works on thier games and if they fail they get sacked, either way activision messed up not IW, time limits are really tight these days to make games hence patch updates are more frequent than they used to be

ATVI also owns Sledgehammer studio's which is what they're saying (in a press release) will work on the next COD series.

Here is the actual press release by ATVI:

I think most of you guys don't understand or forget that Activison is a public company and is FOR PROFIT! That means they're in business to make money. Not to make a game that is lag free, put out DLC every other day and respond to all complaints of the community.

One can argue that it's the community (of gamers) that make up of ATVI's profits and as a result they should respond to the issues we all state. However they're for profit. What does this mean? I'll try and explain shortly.

Businesses look for profits. Profits are gross revenues (income) minus expenses. ATVI is a public company so any person can own a part of the company. ATVI has to look out for share holders and turn a profit each quarter (quarterly earnings per share or EPS). If ATVI spends too much money on a project then it reduces the amount of profit that project makes. This includes labor, dedicated servers, software, marketing etc.

On the 10k you can view a list of subsidiaries... IW and Treyarch are subsidiaries (wholly owned) by ATVI.

Additionally ATVI has to report quarterly as it's registered with the SEC information regarding their business. The reports are known as 10k's. You can find all this information and review it for youself if you have the time or desire.

Under California law all the IW employees are free to leave and make their own independent company, separate from Activision. So nobody worry about IW being ditched; after all their success they'll inevitably be back, be it under another company such as EA or all by themselves.

IW is owned by Activision. The employees can leave however it's probable they won't have the start up capital to form their own development company.

Regardless this is a pointless discussion because only two key people were terminated due to breach of contract.

The probem with this is that Infinity Ward still technically owns the rights to the Call of Duty

Said in the article. ^

Either the article is wrong or you are. (I honestly don't know which one and I am pretty confused lol).
