With TheUnkn0wn's recent bit of advice, and going through several older threads I came across this quote from hunter:

The reason why i want to know is because i have working modded game patches, and i want to be able to do this on my other ps3 i can go online with, but 3.30 just seems like they might have fixed this... All the data is just scattered though out the whole hdd every sector is different.

Maybe there is an exploit or something within the music tab on the PS3 menu.
I don't know if this seems logic, or if it has been posted before. But it has been dwelling on my mind for quite a while, and I thought it was time to share my thoughts.

Did you do ANY type of testing first? ANY at all? Sound files are loaded up in the music player, which doesn't affect games. The idea behind using a music file was that you could transfer it easily. The only purpose that file served was as an indicator as to where you are in the HDD.

ive heard that unknown and hunter did the hacks in two different ways.
And ive been told that they worked together and most of you are saying that unknown said we are doing it wrong. but the way we are thing of may not have been what he did
or if you had the hacks and had everyone knowing your name would you help others get close? i think not

Thats true both methods work 1 with a debug unit which is expensive but easy todo the hack
and the other is with a retail but takes longer and is harder plus you have to write your own script and run it along with the param.sfo

how about you help contribute to his theory instead of flamming other users about what they did
