Instead of looking in and around Modern Warfare 2. Why not take a look into the system itself and what all the PS3 Hacking teams have done in the last 3 Years.
That should easily get you on the right track.
With TheUnkn0wn's recent bit of advice, and going through several older threads I came across this quote from hunter:
Has anybody done this on firmware 3.30? I'm able to do it on 3.15 and 3.21 but on FW 3.30 i can't find the dummy data ANYWERE every sector is different including the first sectors unlike my other 2 ps3's the beggining sectors where all the same.
The reason why i want to know is because i have working modded game patches, and i want to be able to do this on my other ps3 i can go online with, but 3.30 just seems like they might have fixed this... All the data is just scattered though out the whole hdd every sector is different.
Then he later replied with:
I don't think it does, i found the dummy data then did everything else when it came time to
copy the music file[/I][/U] back to the ext hdd you get a copy error or it copies everything but the data you want.

Maybe there is an exploit or something within the music tab on the PS3 menu.
I don't know if this seems logic, or if it has been posted before. But it has been dwelling on my mind for quite a while, and I thought it was time to share my thoughts.
