I am stuck on Step 3 on this part:
So once you have an FTP program installed, load up the "blackb0x" program from your PS3. You will see an IP address in mine is 192.168.2.7 your will be similar. Copy this into the "Host" box in your FTP program. Now in the Username put "FTPD12345" and for the password it can be anything at all. Then press connect. You will now see the folders on your PS3 open the "dev_hdd0" folder then inside there the "game" folder. In here is your games installed onto your system, Modern Warfare 2 is BLES00683 for my region, it will vary for yours so go get your case or disc of the game and see what you have on there on the side. Now you know the correct folder for your Call of Duty game open it then open the "USRDIR" folder. You will now see another "patch_mp.ff" drag your patch into here and overwrite it.

What is happening is that i can load up the Blackb0x and get my ip address, but then the tut says to "Copy this into the "Host" box in your FTP program." I do not know how to do this, and anything past this, can someone please help me?

what you need to do is go onto FTP on your pc and their should be a white box next to where it has all the files on your PS3 this is your desktop now take the file for whatever patch and drag it into the right folder for your ps3 the it should work! Hope this helps

I have been doing this on a MAC, so can it not be done on a MAC? because whenever i go onto my MAC and open the ftpserver that is in my usbstick, it says: The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error -1.)

Am I doing it wrong?

i think it would be easier for you if you just put file manager on your PS3 and put patches on from that!

Install Filezilla onto your desktop then run it then click file > site manager top left then type in the blackbox IP and connect.

why are you opening ftp from a usb stick?

How do I do that? Sorry for all of the questions, but I am new to this hacked lobby stuff.

I am opening the file: ftpserver_12.pkg on my usb stick

Download congenies file manager and put on the usb then go to install package file and put it on the ps3 open it up then tell me when you get to there.
