(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); :madk guys just thought i would warn u about this coz it has happend to me and about 700 other people that i know about anyways. it seems that the last update for modern warfare 2 will cause your playstation to get the dreaded yellow light of death (YLOD) it happen me just yesterday wen i was playin a tdm in mw2. this problem is fixable by yourself but NOT recommened and im not gona mess around with the inside of my ps3 and lose the warranty. iv rang sony up and they wont repair it but they will send me out a "repaired" old model that they fixed and i have to pay £130 and send in my ps3. which i wont pay as i already forked out enough money on the ps3 and they expect me to pay more for used unit and because of a problem that i didnt cause is bullshit


heads up if u play mw2 dont play for more than 2hours at a time give ur ps3 time to cool down
u can "clean out" ur ps3 urself bye turing it off at the back, holding down on the eject and turing it back on.

Lmao. Ive had my PS3 like year and half and no breaks yet. *touches wood* 40Gb one. Ive been laid of work so i play quite alot at the moment, due to the recession. I can play like 6 hours or so and its fine ill have a break and wait til friends come on and play some more. Ive just felt my PS3 all over and its comepletley cool so i dont understand, are you guys not giving your system enough air? Mines next to my tv and its near a window.

What happens to me from time to time is MW2 freezes my PS3. Then if I turn it off it beeps three times and restarts. I'm not the only one that has had this happened to either, it's pretty common. I don't know why it does it but i'm afraid it might kill the PS3 one of these days.

i have a 60 gig swaped the hd 4 a 250 gig had it since it came out played mw2 for two days straight was fine but then next day i updated and got ylod fixed it with the tut had it on for two hours it was fine put in mw2 update now it just beeps three times no ylod wtf is up with this game my shit is vented all around this is bullshit lol now i got to buy a new model cuz they don't heat up like the old ones do

I haven't turned my PS3 off in weeks lol.. It is constantly on and it has NEVER overheated once. Every now in then it freezes but starts to work again momentarily. I might have the luckiest PS3 in the world. I have Kicked it, stepped on it, even accidently dropped it. I'm always online because when i sleep. It's on. When i'm at school. It's on. When i do anything. It's on. WEEKS at a time.

Again it hasn't broke down once.

I cant belive you gauys can complain....my ps3 has died 4 times since the game came out! and have been lucky enough to know someone who fixes it but it constantly breaks and its a 80gb 4 usb ports and The SD card slot but its pissing me oFF!

I highly doubt its the game doing it...and ylod is when a wire gets loose or comes off of something inside your ps3. I knew a guy that had his ps3 on for 3 weeks straight when he went on vacation and it didnt break, its just the unlucky 1's i guess

The worst I got from MW2 is the RSOD, of course that ****ed my PS3 up and I had to wait 2 weeks for a new one.
