Post: 15 kills too much for EMP?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I dont see why EMPs require so many kills; there not much more effective then a counter uav. if anything The affect on red dots might even be an advantage to the enemy; I kinda like my holographic sight with a clear window, the affect it has on screen? who cares, that little static doesn't do anything. I think they should make it a lot longer to justify the high streak, Half of the other streaks like Ac 130s and harriers devastate the game much more and require much less then 15 kills. EMPs to me are def a waste of a streak.

They should make guns jam,or something; being the streak next to the nuke which ends a game should really be devastating

it would be awesome if IW got relly creative and made EMPs affect the players controls like do a random button remap to confuse the team, things like this would def encourage make me use it and are fair for requiring 15 kills.

I agree with most of you, that it is a devastating kill streak but at the same time it shouldnt be 15 kills, should be 11 or 12 at least

it is very devistating/confusing to the other team, imagine your a sniper with a thermal scope,your claymores get knocked out and so does your hbs, you can't aim too good and the enemy team doesn't even need cold blooded to kill you,make it last the rest of the game and it would cause as much or more fear than the nuke,not a single person would be using electronic weponry add-ons muhahahahah.

i've always said the ac130/chopper gunners should be 15 killstreaks. the emp should be put into the 11th kill streak.

killstreaks get shot down any way so big deal.
Not one thing an EMP does is "devastating"

Also I get 15 killstreaks alot and the other team is still winning so to say that if you have 15 killstreaks your winning is flawed just because im doing good does not mean my team is.
And using an EMP is not going to win the game.

EMP 7 killstreak at best if it is devastating to you, then you can't be all that good.

EMP is good,but only if the other team are dominating with killstreaks. Other than that,it's pretty useless if you ask me.

I'll give you some more food for thought as to why it is 15 kills. Who benefits directly from hitting the enemy with an EMP? Your whole team. With an AC-130, Apache, Pave Low, Harrier, Stealth Bomber, Sentry Gun....all these things with the exception of a care drop or emergency drop (if the player isn't greedy, which I usually am), the EMP benefits the whole team. Everybody will get more kills because of it.

So instead of 1 person just getting kills with the weapon, all 6 players can get it. And not all the time do EMP's come from a killstreak. You can occasionally get them in a caredrop package. The EMP is a definate tide turner of a match, because unlike all the other weapons mentioned above, it can't be stopped once used. You have to endure the whole thing, and the entire team benefits from the enemy being completely without technological aid.

No other killstreak in MW2 can do that.

UAV gives you a hub, and pressing start gives you a map to show you your allies.
So all you use is a silencer, fmj, and extended mags? (yeh, I love those too).
They give you an advantage if you do use them right. Not depend on, receive aid from.
Can't shoot down an EMP, but an EMP will take down EVERYTHING and prevent the enemy from using any killstreak.
I guess completely limiting your opponent to the bare components of war while the other team can still use technology is not devastating.


Making the enemy have no advantage whatsoever for your crappy teammates makes it a lot easier to win a match, even when your down. Again, it's a match changer.


I guess you're just better then the game then.

Yeah, I think its to much also, I think its should be between 7-9 range and the nuke should be brought down to 20, i think it should anyway.

20 for a nuke? Is that because you can't get it with 25? :P


25 seems good for a nuke, because I get 20 killstreaks all the time and I consider myself to be a really good player. 25 is a bit pushing it, and that's if I nuke set to get one (which btw, I've never had it set during a 25 kill streak...damn it)


I'm not really argueing for or against it. I just like playing devils advocate. Just more fun that way in debates for me.
