Post: 15 kills too much for EMP?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I dont see why EMPs require so many kills; there not much more effective then a counter uav. if anything The affect on red dots might even be an advantage to the enemy; I kinda like my holographic sight with a clear window, the affect it has on screen? who cares, that little static doesn't do anything. I think they should make it a lot longer to justify the high streak, Half of the other streaks like Ac 130s and harriers devastate the game much more and require much less then 15 kills. EMPs to me are def a waste of a streak.

They should make guns jam,or something; being the streak next to the nuke which ends a game should really be devastating

it would be awesome if IW got relly creative and made EMPs affect the players controls like do a random button remap to confuse the team, things like this would def encourage make me use it and are fair for requiring 15 kills.

All the other Killstreaks, well most of them anyway, are aggressive measures. The EMP is purely defensive. It's amazing for defending a score, or defending your team's score. Most people just dismiss it because of this.

if the nuke was at 20 it would be 2 easy, every time some1 gets a chopper gunner or ac130 the would get a nuke without fail lol

i think the emp is worth about 6 kills lol, if the other team calls in a emp all i do is play defensively and wait till its over

and think about it ... for 11 kills you can get chopper gunner and get like 10 - 20 kills but for 15 kills u take out electrics ? i would have chopper gunner anyday

Personally I get it, then wait until I need it. Dropping someones AC 130 or Chopper Gunner before it can get a kill is an outcome changer for sure. Imagine it at 7 kills, I have no trouble getting 7 kills, every time you people complaining about it got an AC130, Chopper Gunner, or some fag boosts his way to a nuke I would drop it from the sky. The second that happened, there would be a new thread. "7 kills not enough for EMP". Then again maybe I would like it at 7 the boosters would be screaming and crying more than ever.

I don't really find the EMP powerful. I think it should be like a 7 killstreak. 15 is just way too high for something that does not get you kills.

I believe IW drastically incorrectly measured on how everyone would play the game especially team based games and the kill streaks are really screwed up. Way to easy to reach Chopper Gun/AC130 and makes people camp to go 5-7-11.

imo, Killsteaks should be about:
3-UAV
4-Counter UAV/Care Package
5-Pred
6-Airstrike/Sentry Gun(Make it last longer and make it 2 hits to disable it)
7-Attack Helicopter(has to be slightly stronger)
8-Emergency Airdrop(Have the plane come in 2 seconds faster)
9-Stealth Bomber/Harrier
10-EMP
11-Pavelow
17-Chopper/AC130
35-Nuke

These killstreaks would entice people to run something different besides 5-7-11, 5-7-9, or 7-11-25(I know some people run something different but like 80% of people run one of these three). I would love if everyone played different kill streaks and made the game less boring "Oh there is someone's harrier again, let me guess Chopper Gunner next" is sooooo Boring.

Personally, it should be very difficult to reach Nuke and if it required 10 more kills I believe less people would camp to try get one and be more prone to actually move around to get kills because they know they will never get a nuke or AC130/Gunner . If you can get to 35 with only two killstreaks, you deserve a nuke. Right now you can run hardlined 6-10-24 and if you are on a good map and get to 6(harrier) you can easily have a nuke which is way to simple.

I would also love if Sentry Gun and Predator Missle were seperated like I have above and make the Sentry slighty last longer and take two hits instead of one.

Think before about the killstreaks (not just because they are good/bad they should go like this) think about the consequences first, what it will cause, what will happen, etc etc...look the post from me about the EMP above this

To say that EMP should not be lowered is unbelievable. I bet the percentage of players that use EMP(as a kill streak) is around .1% and thats probably on the high side. If only .1% use the 2nd highest kill streak besides ending the game killstreak than how is it justifiable at its current 15 kills? Its not. Why run EMP when you can get chopper gunner/ac130 4 kills earlier and could possibly end the game with it?

EMP will continue to be only used from luck of the draw care packages.

Did you ever think about how everyone runs the same sets of streaks? I like how you say Infinity Ward knows all the consequences and the game is extremely flawed and was hacked within a day or two. I dont know how you can believe they balanced roughly 15 different killstreaks but they released a game with a shotgun that one hit kills from 60feet. It should be easier to balance a shotgun than 15 killstreaks that all do different things.

There is barely any strategy to the current kill streak set up(80%+ play 5-7-11, 7-11-25, or 5-7-9) and yes EMP at 10-12 would be a good idea because you would still have a decision to use it or not and something else that knocks killstreaks out of the air is a bad thing?

Even if EMP was 11 with AC130 and Chopper Gunner also at 11 I am 100% sure that over 90% of people would still pick Chopper or AC130. I cannot even think of a good 3 killstreak set to use EMP because if I get to 11, I might as well have a good chance at ending the game and just use a Nuke.
