Anyway... I was looking at COSad Awesome Elite and noticed how they promise premium users monthly DLC. (I've known this for a long time but seeing it in writing as a GUARANTEE had me thinking...)

We all know that 360 has the contract with Activision to release DLC/Map Packs and such a month prior to PS3, and it will extend to MW3. But I'm thinking COD Elite may bypass that. The backlash would be huge if they were dishonest at all about it and I believe they'd lose money if PS3 players got a half assed version of Elite also.

So that's why I think that PS3 users who buy hardened or elite founder status will have to given DLC at the exact same time as 360, despite of whatever exclusive contract with Xbox they have.

Thoughts?

Even if 360 people get it earlier, considering that there is monthly DLC (not always map packs) it'll work out just fine.

It may be true that Non-Map Pack DLC will be monthly based for everyone and Map Packs will be singled out as Xbox timed exclusives.. But they don't call it a "Map Pack exclusive contract" they call it a "DLC exclusive contract", so who knows..... This is a pretty important question though and I'd sure as hell like to know the answer before I'm billed for Elite.

Yes but still... elite promises monthly DLC, and it doesn't say "just xbox 360". So how can you put out monthly DLC and still add a monthly delay for PS3? That is the question.

Possible. But according to the website they're only doing it for 9 months. If they were doing PS3 for 10 months then you'd think they would have mentioned that in the signup.
