OK so I see and hear everytime people saying to other people "you are bad at this game. look at that 1.00K/D" "you should not be allowed on this game look at that K/D Bro" and so on and so on...

So my point is this.

You play a FPS game for the only reason of getting some "Beats" K/D in a VIDEO GAME So I just want to ask you people before i get more into this post. Why do you care so much about a K/DR in a VIDEO GAME ? Do you think it makes you look awesome or like some kinda god to someone ?

Now into why I dont care about some stupid K/D in a Game. The only reason I play a Video Games is to have a fun time with my friends and just take a break from everything else. I dont care if I had a 0.01 K/D all i care about is did I have a good time and playing as a team and not just for Kills which is what most people seem to do now days. Just play for Kills in a team based game mode.

This is where K/D whores start getting really annoying "you know who you are" a few weeks ago I was playing some Black Ops HQ *team based mode. and our team is winning we just need a few more points to win. Now some child on my team started saying down the mic "No don't cap the HQ we have won this just get kills now" someone else on the team starting capping the HQ and I was making my way over to it to help out. so this person startings swaring down the mic at the person capping the HQ telling him to get off it and so on...

Then the person capping gets killed just as i get to the HQ so i keep Capping it and end up doing. the K/D whore went mad I might add because I won the Game for us by capping it.

So my point is why do you go into a Team Based Game mode just for the Kills ? the pop ones are CTF, HQ, HCHQ, Demo, Dom. If the only thing you care about is K/D then just stay in FFA and get your beloved K/D up in that...

k/d proves nothing about how good you are at a game. me and my friends just mess around most of the time and are k/d's suffer because of it but when the enemies start shit talking because we did so bad we just put on our try hard pants and rape them match after match until they leave or stop shit talking. i find it funny how many people think k/d has anything to do with skill, most people i see with high k/d's go into objective gametypes and just kill whore without even helping there team capture the objective.

K/D actually proves ALOT in COD. You want to talk about winning? COD is a game centered completely around killstreaks which mean that the team that earns the better killstreaks (usually regardless of mode except S& and maybe a few others) will always win. Objective this and objective this and etc etc. no. To be successful AND TO WIN in COD you have to earn K.S. continuously. If your team does not earn spy planes or UAVs and etc while the other teams has constant UAVs and spy planes up, it does not matter if your entire team tries to capture a flag or hold down a site, you WILL LOSE.

By the looks of this thread most of you are saying "OMG, IDC abt my k.d, i only care about winning", Yea, pure b.s. I have not met one person who does not care about their k.d., even to a minute amount. The higher your k.d., the more k.s. you earn and the more AIR SUPPORT you have, the more games you are going to win. Plain and simple.

Whos going to win a match when a team full of 2.0k/d goes up against a team full up .5k/d in domination? demolition? tdm? sabotage? headquarters? The team with the 2.0k/d obviously. Why? Because they know how to get k.s. which will help them win easily. a person with an average k.d. of 3.0 will get you a spy plane at the very least on each of their lives while a person with a 1.0k/d may need 3-4 lives to get one. Which one will have the upper hand in a match? Which one will help his team win because of air support?

Obviously, k.d. isn't the only thing that is important as a person going solely for K.D. is not the best player to have on a team. However, I would prefer a guy with a 2.0 or 3.0 on my team any day over the random person with a below 1.0kd. Why? Because the person with the 2.0/3.0 is gonna have a spy plane or Blackbird out in the match as a guarantee which means I am going to get my spy plane/blackbird which means our team is probably going to win.

The best way to judge a person is to compare their K.D. to their W/L. You will RARELY see players with a 2.0+ W/L with a below 1.0 or even 1.5 K/D. Why? Cause good people help their team win no matter what they do and people who aren't that good are going to help their team lose lol.

Contrary to popular belief you only need TWO FLAGS to win Domination so kill whores are justified. It's usually scrubs who can't get mass kills trying to triple cap all game. You can help get two flags then DEFEND those flags and get kills. Why do people here bitch about kill whoring in Domination when two flags gets you the win? If you lose B, recapture it. Keep enemy spawning where it's harder for them to camp, get kills, win the game. I HATE idiots acting like it's CTF. It's an easy game mode where you can win AND kill.


Well.... Obviously video games are for fun and competition. Just because some people run around with tomahawks or try to get 360 no scopes doesn't mean people who want to have good games are bad. Hell I see people with 20+ days played with 2.00 K/D as well as .50 K/D. So if you're going to invest time in a game shouldn't you hope to be good at it??? People with below 1.00 K/D usually aren't good at the game and saying "oh it's just a game" is like ugly chicks saying "beauty isn't everything." It's a lame excuse. I try to maintain 1.50 or higher win/loss as well as K/D. If I have a bad game, my life isn't over but I play for competition which is a HUGE selling point of online gaming. Fun for me is playing with my buddies after a long, stressful day and dominating. Dying all game and trying to remind good players it's a videogame is silly. OF COURSE it's a game and competitors like to compete. Also every guy with high K/D isn't a tryhard or camper...

Also people like you, piss me off... I play Ground War and I HATE scrubs who think running around triple capping all game is cool. ALL YOU NEED IS TWO FLAGS in Dom, then maintain flags and get kills. Good Dom players go 30+ kills 17- kills 2-3 caps and 4+ defends.

Players like you seem to be go negative with 5+ captures and 0 defends. Also if K/D doesn't matter than why does having 5+ caps even tho you're negative matter??? MAINTAINING two flags get you the win so why people think having a thousand caps is important is stupid ESPECIALLY if kills mean nothing AND you're going to win anyway.

i have a 2.80 rushing around, and more kills = more points, so why not cap it at the last 30 seconds with 50 more kills?

People to to non kill based game types because the spawn system is differnt compared to tdm. They are alot easier for kill feeds for a montage and etc.

its pointless as you can be spawn trapping with a great clan every single game.
