OK so I see and hear everytime people saying to other people "you are bad at this game. look at that 1.00K/D" "you should not be allowed on this game look at that K/D Bro" and so on and so on...

So my point is this.

You play a FPS game for the only reason of getting some "Beats" K/D in a VIDEO GAME So I just want to ask you people before i get more into this post. Why do you care so much about a K/DR in a VIDEO GAME ? Do you think it makes you look awesome or like some kinda god to someone ?

Now into why I dont care about some stupid K/D in a Game. The only reason I play a Video Games is to have a fun time with my friends and just take a break from everything else. I dont care if I had a 0.01 K/D all i care about is did I have a good time and playing as a team and not just for Kills which is what most people seem to do now days. Just play for Kills in a team based game mode.

This is where K/D whores start getting really annoying "you know who you are" a few weeks ago I was playing some Black Ops HQ *team based mode. and our team is winning we just need a few more points to win. Now some child on my team started saying down the mic "No don't cap the HQ we have won this just get kills now" someone else on the team starting capping the HQ and I was making my way over to it to help out. so this person startings swaring down the mic at the person capping the HQ telling him to get off it and so on...

Then the person capping gets killed just as i get to the HQ so i keep Capping it and end up doing. the K/D whore went mad I might add because I won the Game for us by capping it.

So my point is why do you go into a Team Based Game mode just for the Kills ? the pop ones are CTF, HQ, HCHQ, Demo, Dom. If the only thing you care about is K/D then just stay in FFA and get your beloved K/D up in that...

OK so thats really all i wanted to say about this I think. and for the people that care about K/D and start saying my K/D is bad so thats why i dont care. well my MW2 K/D is 2.72 and my Black Ops K/D is 1.57 did not play Black Ops much as its a boring game to play online.

anyways thanks for reading again people im sure I will get some hate from the K/D lovers here but ah well.

most times its bragging rights. But I tell you this. Most people that have a KDR higher than 2.50 are the ones camping the most.

I had a 4.36 k/d but always played with my friends which are very expiereneced, Idc bout k/d ratio, I have my good days and I also have my bad days I just play. I love drop shooting so that's a perk haha but kdr shouldn't be a big deal cod series

I see where a lot of you are coming from, but I don't think the K/DR should be removed. It gives you a sense of, "I did better than the rest of the players". I understand that people that play Dom, Demo, HQ, and other objective games for kills, are doing it wrong, but if I'm in a lobby with a bunch of randoms, I like being able to say that my 4.0KD was higher than all of them. (I'm not saying this is my average, the last game I remember playing I went 20-5). I don't see how it would decrease camping. If they removed it, it would just give them another reason to camp, because if you rage, you shouldn't, because you now have nothing to worry about.

I also don't see how W/L > K/D. If I join a game late, and I lose, how does that accurately show my skill, and ability to win?

It's all a complicated, and heavily arguable topic, but I will agree that Kill Whores should stay in TDM, or FFA.

Removing K/D or W/L would be like sports games removing W/L, and stats. You can have fun, win and have good K/D. You don't have to choose one.

The higher K/D helps you MAINTAIN objectives and like someone mentioned Air Support helps your team. Guys who can get Blackbird and Heli are much more useful than a guy going -10 only getting RC Cars, trying to cap all three flags.

The only annoyance for me is guys with 2.5 K/D or higher who always back out if they have a bad game. Those guys take shit too seriously.

It's okay to play for fun but not okay to justify sucking by saying"K/D" is pointless. Hell tge OP proved it's a little important, He said his Black Ops K/D is 1.5 but also said he didn't play as much because it's boring which sounds like he's giving pretext as to why his is "low" even tho it's good.

Its different groups of people in this world. You got your "Cool kids" "The lames" "The Geeks" and so on etc you get my point right?

Same with games, We got our "Pro Gamers" and "The people who just play this game for fun"

Now if your a pro gamer and your building a clan or just want to be on a team with a good player. your stats tell a lot about you, its either your a kid that dies a lot, or your a kid that knows how to use his gun and aim down his sight. KD matters when judging a player. it don't matter if you play this game once a week. or just for fun, it shows your skill lvl regardless. People who go into the game looking to get high KD'S are the people that love bitching and crying when someone mess it up. The people who walk into this game and automatically get a high KD are skilled players because you don't care about your KD your just one good player.. rather you play on the weekend only.. or just for fun..

IT DONT MATTER how you play.. the point is it shows what type of player you are. n not everyone is a camper with a high KD.. some people just have skills

My way of having fun on a game is by being competitive (if it is an online game), I not only like to win my games, I like to have many more kills than deaths. I like competing with my friends on the leaderboards, but not only that, other people around the world.
