Or like most of my friends would call it Lag Ops key phrase (lag). Last month we counted the days and were just anxious to get our hands on Call of Duty MW3. My thoughts were Treyarc has always been the B company the second stringers, the big guns are about to come out. Infinity ward the better of the two companies, surely they wont let us down. But think about it Infinity ward is a small fracture of the once dominant and intuative developer.

Dave Zapella and others left Activision, they didn't like the pressure and the pace of the franchise. He felt 2 years isn't long enough to develop a game. Regardless we all buy MW3 and man holy **** that game sure looks familiar. Its almost identical to mw2 and i just spent 100 because i bought the hardened edition. No worries we can't go wrong with MW2.5 yet it has gone wrong in my eyes. Maps are over crowded and spawns are all messed up. Things that with a patch will fix the game, but for the sake of pete our buddy (LAG) is back. Reason being is because, although not released Black ops released Lag conpesation. And now MW3 follows the trend and it's affecting a lot of players who perhaps are paying extra money for good internet solely for gaming. We are being punished for good internet, and their response is they want to make the game as fair as possible. You ask me its a cheap attemp and alternative to not purchasing Dedicated Servers.

The biggest franchise in History and they solely care for themselves. Lag compesation is not the solution and once again as a consumer im unsatisfied and frustated. Mw3 is like Mw2 and nothing new has been brought to the table. Activision is milking the cow and we are the fat cow. Support Killstreaks getting rewarded for playing the objective.Is not a new idea as a matte of fact its a stolen idea from HomeFront. Kill confirmed also not a new game mode Stolen idea from Battlefield also the gun profeciencies stolen from Battlefield. And those two games ironically have dedicated servers. Theater mode is something halo did prior to Black ops and now COD Elite. This concept of checking your stats is a stolen idea from EA games, they do that for Battlefield and Fifa and Madden. Sadly Activision did not learn from Black Ops and right now the main topic and problem is lag. LAG LAG LAG i thought that Infinity Ward would learn from Treyarc Mistakes sadly no.

As consumers we have the right to demand more, problem with Gamers is that we are not unified. Some of you will say theres lag on PS3 cause you guys don't pay like Xbox Live. But the facts are the lag has been affecting both consoles. If we could for once petition and be unified we could make a change. But this is not the case and we just keep buying the game we are getting ****ed year in year out. We need to let the issue known and put them on the spot light, lets not play there game, but most of you will overlook this thread and flame and troll me. And with that mentality we will never get what we deserve...

yes its possible to get to 1st in a day if i remember right and thanks to 2xp and split between me and my bro we got there with about 17 hours played i havent played it since though my bro did for abit but ultimately like me got bored with it

EDIT** just read your other post and i respect your views but dont agree with the lag, for me has been terrible im running virgin media too and id put a full clip in someone theyd shoot me twice with same weapon and id die , agree with you about black ops i really enjoyed that and im goin to go back to it when im not playing anything else as you said there were some new elements in it which were interesting whereas mw3 might aswelll have been released as a map pack because essentially thats what it is, agree the marketing is done well but its wrong of them by slapping a £40 price on mw3 and calling it a new game theres nothing new of any great significance from mw2, but people buy it, admit i did too but as i said in my other post wont be pre-ordering again

I'll call you a kid if i want, although you have some valid points... You played Black ops on X BOX 360. On PS3 screen would turn Black or game would freeze or console and we would have to be reset, this happen to my whole clan and other online PSN friends. Lag was not a problem on X BOX, because when PSN went down i gamed on 360. Black Ops ran better on 360 and we all know activision has to favor Microsoft due to their deal. And i assume your a kid since you have all this free time to be on NGU, an adult works. I'm 23 and i game casually and i speak my mind. And you sounded like a fanboy in my opinion, you are blind regarding activision and defend them with no second thought. Such a fanboy all the fanboys like to get ****ed not me and i dont need to play a game to have a life. With that being said be happy with a half ass game and never getting dedicated servers, since your happy with activion making their money...

I use to have a ps3, and had black ops and barely experienced lag, yes it froze a few times, mainly within the first month. After that is was fine and i carried on playing until I got 15th on ps3 and then got bored on it so brought an Xbox instead. On xbox black ops ran a lot smoother, and I since I didn't have an Xbox when the game was released I can't compare it.

Now with mw3 I still haven't experienced this major lag that everyone seems to be getting, now my connection isnt as good as some people here get but it's still never made me suffer from connection issues. Mw3 has never frozen on me, so there is a step up against black ops within month 1.

Lastly I'm not a kid with tones of free time, defending activision. I'm 18, i have a girlfriend who I regularly see, I also work 3 evenings a week part time as I go to college every weekday. So I barely have free time except maybe a couple afternoons/evenings a week. Just because I'm at college, doesn't mean I'm not an adult.
Im studying business at A2 and just think its clever what activision has done, in business we always talk about business strategies and activision are doing so much right, making huge revenue each year throughout the year, peeking in november. The money they make is huge, and that's exavtly what one of their main aims is.

A fanboy has pointless arguments and don't back themselves up with anything. I honestly enjoy playing call of duty as its easy to play and suits my style of gaming. I don't pointlessly defend them, there are points some people make which I agree with but in my opinion it's still a game I'm enjoying and I'm looking forward to see what the DLC will be.

I applaud your beliefs but at the end of the day for most it's just a videogame.

The COD series suffers from overhype and a fanbase that will accept shit or steak if Activison gies it. However if the people enjoy the game why is that such an issue?

COD series also has too many people going the anti establishment,"we shall overcome, **** the system, **** greedy company" hippie route.

The game costs $60 USD just like every other game so I don't know why the $60 USD people pay for this game makes them feel entitled so much.

Playing something you enjoy isn't a fanboy it's common sense. I also enjoy NBA2K12, Uncharted and Heavy Rain. It's amazing how people talk shit about a game then say if you disagree you're a fanboy. Being some guy who is anti whatever is popular troll isn't any better than a fanboy anyway. Me personally, am an OBJECTIVE person who enjoys the game. If I disliked it as much of you claim to, I wouldn't waste $60 on it nor waste time on an NGU section discussing it. Majority of people will still buy the next COD game or at least be curious. It's like the ex that knows their girlfriend aint shit and calls her a whore yet is still waiting on her to come back instead of moving on...

The series has issues and is getting stagnant but for me it's still fun. People paying and playing a VIDEO GAME they enjoy regardless of how greedy the creator may be is fine.

It's the people who pay and play the hell out of a game yet complain year after year that are ****ing annoying. It's a videogame not a Pro Choice vs Pro Life Rally.

The only people that are sad are the ones who continue to pump money into something they don't enjoy....Although some people would find someting to moan about if Rihanna gave them a BJ and a new car....

I used to be a CoD fanboy. Shit it was like a religion to me. My favorite CoD was CoD3, CoD4 was amazing only because it was COMPLETELY different. Ever since CoD4, it's been down grading. Now, I finally got the courage to preorder BF3. Guess what I had to say about it? IT'S AMAZING! I tried BF2, and I wasn't that interested. But with BF3's brand new engine, everything is perfected. The gameplay is wayyy more realistic. All they need to do is work out all the kinks and bugs. Also, there are other games out there other than CoD! I laugh at kids that buy an Xbox 360 or PS3 just to play CoD... It's hilarious, they waste $300 on a game system that can support 100s of games, but all they get is one... Batman, Uncharted 3, DarkSiders, Dante's Inferno, Condemned, Dead Space, Saints Row, GTA, THE LIST GOES ON!

Basically, I honestly think CoD needs to end its franchise and go down the f**king toilet.

Because your in college doesn't make you an adult, your taking a step towards that, i too went to college the University of Houston, Computer science and simply i'm just stating this company is greedy and i don't praise them. You stated as a company they have made record breaking profits, because of all the fan base they have. Yet Smaller companies with less profits and sucess have given their small fan base dedicated servers. Activision not once has made an attempt to do something for the fans, they only care about their money. Regardless we are entitled to our opinions that is all

One more note i'm running a wired connection and my internet is 24mb download and 3 Upload Ping is like 50
I'm host 60% of the time and i lag so i don't think i have a bad connection... prior to this i had 30 mb download and 6mb upload with comcast and still lag

they feel entitled because when paying £40/$60 for a so called NEW game i dont want it to feel like a large map pack extension from mw2 like it does anyone who says different are kidding thereselves
mw3 should have been £20 at most as dlc for mw2 its a disgrace they can develop it for so long and call it a new game whereas if you buy another game it will be different for example the GTA series different characters, stories
