Or like most of my friends would call it Lag Ops key phrase (lag). Last month we counted the days and were just anxious to get our hands on Call of Duty MW3. My thoughts were Treyarc has always been the B company the second stringers, the big guns are about to come out. Infinity ward the better of the two companies, surely they wont let us down. But think about it Infinity ward is a small fracture of the once dominant and intuative developer.

Dave Zapella and others left Activision, they didn't like the pressure and the pace of the franchise. He felt 2 years isn't long enough to develop a game. Regardless we all buy MW3 and man holy **** that game sure looks familiar. Its almost identical to mw2 and i just spent 100 because i bought the hardened edition. No worries we can't go wrong with MW2.5 yet it has gone wrong in my eyes. Maps are over crowded and spawns are all messed up. Things that with a patch will fix the game, but for the sake of pete our buddy (LAG) is back. Reason being is because, although not released Black ops released Lag conpesation. And now MW3 follows the trend and it's affecting a lot of players who perhaps are paying extra money for good internet solely for gaming. We are being punished for good internet, and their response is they want to make the game as fair as possible. You ask me its a cheap attemp and alternative to not purchasing Dedicated Servers.

The biggest franchise in History and they solely care for themselves. Lag compesation is not the solution and once again as a consumer im unsatisfied and frustated. Mw3 is like Mw2 and nothing new has been brought to the table. Activision is milking the cow and we are the fat cow. Support Killstreaks getting rewarded for playing the objective.Is not a new idea as a matte of fact its a stolen idea from HomeFront. Kill confirmed also not a new game mode Stolen idea from Battlefield also the gun profeciencies stolen from Battlefield. And those two games ironically have dedicated servers. Theater mode is something halo did prior to Black ops and now COD Elite. This concept of checking your stats is a stolen idea from EA games, they do that for Battlefield and Fifa and Madden. Sadly Activision did not learn from Black Ops and right now the main topic and problem is lag. LAG LAG LAG i thought that Infinity Ward would learn from Treyarc Mistakes sadly no.

As consumers we have the right to demand more, problem with Gamers is that we are not unified. Some of you will say theres lag on PS3 cause you guys don't pay like Xbox Live. But the facts are the lag has been affecting both consoles. If we could for once petition and be unified we could make a change. But this is not the case and we just keep buying the game we are getting ****ed year in year out. We need to let the issue known and put them on the spot light, lets not play there game, but most of you will overlook this thread and flame and troll me. And with that mentality we will never get what we deserve...

I don't think anyone would agree that mw3 should have been £20 and as a dlc. To say that is just stupid, you could say that about almost every game sequel, if a previous game is successful then you don't need to change a lot otherwise you may distance the game from the original fan base.

Lets take Battlefield 3, there is not as much new to that, which wasnt in battlefield 2, simply because they need to keep the successful series more successful.

they feel entitled because when paying £40/$60 for a so called NEW game i dont want it to feel like a large map pack extension from mw2 like it does anyone who says different are kidding thereselves and if you but dlc for it your looking at another 30-40 on top
mw3 should have been £20 at most as dlc for mw2 its a disgrace they can develop it for so long and call it a new game whereas if you buy another game it will be different for example the GTA series different characters, stories mw's are pretty much similar every year out campaign wise (shoot loads of enemies-moveforward-repeat-gameover)

as montealvo says to praise activision marketing is wrong because of smaller companies with much lesser profits have more dedication to their fans, in the form of free dlc or NEW (key word) additions whereas mw3 is simply a cash cow to earn quick money, one off the things which really annoys me to top it is off the constant bringing back of previous maps from other games ffs make some new ones if i wanted to play them maps i would play whichever game its on plus look at all the problems with elite and servers etc they are lazy and simply do not care about customer satisfaction

if they feel that way they could easily sell MW3 for $45-$50 on EBAY OR craigslsit and buy another game...

But no,theyd rather keep playing and complaining like COD is their wife. Why would you play a game with all these issues anyway?

Either you enjoy the game more than you say or you don't enjoy it and just like to complain. Discussing issuesis fine and helpful to improving it. Mindless ranting over and over is stupid,pointless and annoying. Not saying you are. The game is just that a game, ot a wife or a dead end job you have to work to support a family. Play it with issues,Sell it with o issues and get the **** over it.

This is not meant to be as a rant, but take it as you feel... i believe with the mass profits they are making. The least they can do is get us dedicated servers.. But they careless about the consumer. And it won't change unless we stand up for our rights as say as a product it's not complete. Games of that genre like Homefront, Battlefield, Mag all have dedicated servers. And we want dedicated servers on this product, but all you guys just don't care and say i LOVE COD, Praise Activision, Thoughts like that is what has brough the call of duty series to a downfall, cause most of you don't care and just play it!!!

I got plenty of other friends that say battlefield 3 is way better and have moved on from COD. Little by little people will start leaving COD to play other games because of the rout they have taken. But it wont be in a year or two. the series is way to big and younger kids are getting the game so it wont fall off. Only way to hurt activision is not support there product. So in a way we created this monster wether you like it our not. This is my opinion on this subject. Once I get home from work i know im going to my ps3 and turn on mw3 and see what this new update does.

All i can say is everyone has some good point in this thread i read ever post and people are saying some good stuff. But i can say i loved Mw2 i really did then black ops came out and i felt let down i thought it was shit,So here i am waiting one hole year for what i thought was going to be one hell of amazing cod game Mw3 and my god i felt stupid for buying it i wish i did not.

Am not setting here going to say the game is shit, but i just got so bored it was unreal it really did bore me to death. But that just me so i gone back to black ops and i must say i am enjoying black ops now i finding it better and not getting bored with it at all.

I owned mw2 and black ops on ps3 before but i moved to xbox just before mw3 came out. Am just having more fun with the black ops game it runs alot better then it did on ps3 but that all i got to say on the subject of this game peace out

I agree with you 100%. im tired of seeing people that only play cod.
as for my opinion:
to be honest cod is a mediocre game at best. sure its fun but there are so many better games out there. i talked to some people i work with that are still in high school and all some of them play is cod. i recommend other games to them but all they say is
"the game sucks" even though they either never played it or only played 5 minutes of the game. i perfect example of this is battlefield 3 with its beta. alot of cod fanboys i know played the beta and said it sucks so that must mean the entire game will suck. i also tried to convince them to play skyrim or any other game that isnt cod or at-least isn't a shooter but of course all i got was "that game sucks". the cod franchise needs to die or they need to start putting more time into there games so that they aren't copies of each other.

here is the short version for the people that don't have the attention span to actually read something. cod is a fun game but its not as great as you may want to think it is. also if cod is the only game series you play then you really need to expand your gaming library because you are really missing out on great games that wont make you rage.

Black Ops was called Lag Ops by players around the globe playing on Playstation. Game was freezing/lagging, because it was designed for Xbox and then ported on Playstation. So If you have played it on Xbox i will not arque with You in this matter. I pay for fast broadband, i pay for proper headset, i pay for big tv and pay for the game. I expect to have fun and anti lag system ruins it for me. I'm not in army anymore, where they expected us to be dressed the same even if my friend was a son of multimillionare. This is life. We pay for advantages.

After all its all about fun, so i won't go and kill everyone in IW and Garch HQ.

I as all of us want dedicated servers. However I also want cell phone companies to stop those random ass taxes they add to my bill each month.

Point is to most COD has issues but not enough to go on rants about especially since at the end of the day YOU'RE STILL BUYING AND PLAYING IT.

You can't fault people for enjoying something and not really caring about what the company does. We're talking a videogame NOT some Billion Dollar company violating child labor.

We're talking a FPS videogame not some bill in the White House that could hurt the middle class.

For some it's just a game they enjoy. It sucks they won't give us dedicated servers. bother companies do but face it they don't have the hype machine so they almost have to. COD can aford to screw us in that regard.

So instead of blaming the COD community for allowing this you should blame people like yourself who realize the issues, actually care enoug to want changes yet STILL GIVE ACTIVISION YOUR MONEY year round...

There should be more objectivity in the COD community. Instead we come off as whiners who want "change" yet the people screaming the loudest are right there in line with the casuals and "fanboys" geeked up to play at launch all the way til 10th prestige...
