(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Everyone starts out the same. Clueless and playing straight out of the gutter.
They're usually preforming below the average skill level of a CoD player, but eventually something happens and all of a sudden-in a period of time-they get better.

My question is, what's that spark that led to the ignition of a new, better, and skilled player? And just how bad were you when you started CoD?

I remember in CoD4, all I did was hip fire. P90 with double tap and silencer, mp5 with red dot. You name it. I hip fired with almost every weapon. I was a blind bat and never took flanks; I always rushed straight in.

Of course, time did its job and I eventually got used to the scheme. A friend of mine also helped me learn on how to be aware. Expect where the enemy is, and what they're thinking. That way it can be used to your advantage to get the first strike or to trick them.

I started out in CoD4 with a 10th prestiged, 1.2 KDR and below 1.00 win ratio. Now I've bumped it up to an easy 2.00+ KDR, and a 4+ win ratio. Smile

I first started to get good when I thought to myself on COD4... Why don't I rush towards their spawn and catch them unexpectedly?
That's where my general play style started for SnD. If you rush you have a higher chance of getting to a good vantage point, and trapping them in a specific area were you have clear lines of sight. This mixed in with knowing the typical running paths of players easily gives you the advantage.

I started on MW 2 totally clueless because the last FPS I had played was CS so yeah, I used to hipfire like a BIATCH too lmao, it was hard for me to get used to aiming down my sights. But the spark was when I started playing with a friend of mine that had a clan and they are great players, I mean, not MLG pros but pub stompers, so I was like "damn, I have to get better", so I started watching some YouTube videos, that was when I found TF141GHO5T and his FFA's gameplays, so I started playing FFAs and for me it is the best mode to improve, cause you don't have a objective or even a team, it is you by yourself against 7 players so you have to improve your aim, reflexes and map recon.

Nowadays I play almost only FFA and SnD and have a nice time. Also I bought COD 4 and W@W just to play them after I got "better" cause everybody said they were amazing Smile

COD4 hip fired the saw, got a kill died alot, its about getting owned so you want to become like that and be the best, look at me now got almost 60 MOABs so far, already tenth, and 4.25 W/L (play objectively). I found cage match 1v1 best as you could comcentrate on one guy and get to know the map that was the days, but it became boosters mode and has since gone away... :(

mw2, started off with a .60 KDR. Had no idea what I was doing, then just started learning demolition spawns and SnD rushing and bumped it to 2.50

I started on COD MW, remember my first game on Vacant just like yesterday lol. Maybe that's why I love Vacant? Dont know why sooo many ppl voted to skip everytime it came up :(

I got amazing at COD in MW2 by playing with my friend in Private Matches who used to pwn me all the time because he knew about perks and best guns. I started playing SnD ALOT, slow game so you got to know the maps and your awareness increased a lot when you were new and last man standing against 6 players still left on the enemy team. My reactions increased and I started to use the surround sound in the living room to hear enemy foot steps and so on.

Since then, I'm so awesome and I don't even camp, jumpshot or even dropshot or other cheap tactics.

Also I had come out of hospital when MW3 came out so my KDR was like 0.45 as I couldn't see the TV properly or hold the controller in bed but since then its slowly increased to 1.37.

Being a n00b at CoD was sooo much better then now as now everyone knows the maps guns ect ect.

I remember back in CoD 4 days When ever i got Connection interrupted i would go downstairs and make sure my router cables are plugged in as the logo was a cable coming out n back it :p.

Oh and using Overkill with 2 snipers

Not always, if you are playing against people with brains, after 2-3 rounds of rushing I'm sure they will see it coming. That is why I mix up my tactics, don't go for the obvious spots that everybody checks and you will be good to go.
