In a recent interview, Creative Strategist for Infinity Ward, Robert Bowling, stated
that crafting a perfectly balanced game is one of the hardest parts of making the game.

"I think ideal balance is possible, but perfect balance is subjective to the individual player," said Bowling in a recent interview with NowGamer. "So if we nerf shotguns, the people who love shotguns are going to be angry, and if we buff shotguns, the people who love shotguns will be happy, but everyone else will be upset. But Bowling admits that finding a perfect balance is "entirely subjective, as it all depends on your preferred play style."

Bowling also answered some questions about the obviously over-powered, and possibly over-used,
Type 95. Bowling isn't oblivious to the criticism that the Type 95 receives.

"We do, and it’s because the Type 95 is a very easy weapon to use," said Bowling, "where something like the MK14 – which is what I’ve actually been using recently – is a very powerful weapon, but in my opinion it requires more skill to use than the Type 95."

It's not just down to player skill, however, with Bowling saying that - due to Type 95's "lower barrier to entry" - there's more exposure to the weapon, "so it’s only natural that it’s the gun that gets the most comments."

In the end, Bowling states that a players ability to get kills isn't determined by individual weapon stats.
It is about skill level and a players own ability to get kills. If you wish you can read the full article You must login or register to view this content..

As much as I want to say Robert Bowling is wrong and the game is horrible, (just an opinion, don't get butthurt)
he is absolutely right. No FPS that I have played so far in my lifetime has been perfectly balanced. It inevitably
comes down to your own skill level and ability to get kills. Bowling is right on this one guys. No matter how you look at it.

The only way to balance guns completely would be to give them all the same exact stats and just have them look different, but hey that wouldn't be fun at all.

The sad/funny part about that, is that you're completely right. :dumb:

I see where he's coming from when he's making his point, but the Type 95 is in dire need
of some tender loving nerfing.

Once again, a very solid and true statement. :dumb:

It's sad to say that a game as popular as that can't be balanced.
Honestly, you get paid to create a quality game. Why not earn your
money and blow people's expectations away with a balanced game.
Maybe if they actually took their time and perhaps did a beta *cough*,
a lot more people would still be enjoying MW3.

Yes, 402 is completely right with a game not able to be completely balanced (the same applies to life in general). However, it's important to try to make it as fair as possible, and I appreciate that IW is finally doing post-game support and trying (and failing miserably) to rebalance the guns. One obvious example are the secondary machine pistols nerf where they nerfed all akimbo fire rates to 50%. That shouldn't be what they did-- with the FMG's fire rate the only problem in the whole category, it makes the crab claws the superior sub machine gun to use now as the others fire so damn slow now (Skorpions).

That nerf was so aggravating to me for some reason, that they were so ignorant and blind to the fact that only the FMG's needed to be nerfed.
But they we're simply lazy and decided to reduce the fire rate which made absolutely no sense.

Can’t trickshot me!
Weapon balance is probably never going to be perfect as long as the connection is ptp as well.I know connection has a small amount to weapons fixed stats but it's (to me) more important.

I am error
I'd be good if they kept the Type-95. Just take out ALL Deathstreaks. Kids using Type-95s and Dead Man's Hand should not get free kills.
