In a recent interview, Creative Strategist for Infinity Ward, Robert Bowling, stated
that crafting a perfectly balanced game is one of the hardest parts of making the game.

"I think ideal balance is possible, but perfect balance is subjective to the individual player," said Bowling in a recent interview with NowGamer. "So if we nerf shotguns, the people who love shotguns are going to be angry, and if we buff shotguns, the people who love shotguns will be happy, but everyone else will be upset. But Bowling admits that finding a perfect balance is "entirely subjective, as it all depends on your preferred play style."

Bowling also answered some questions about the obviously over-powered, and possibly over-used,
Type 95. Bowling isn't oblivious to the criticism that the Type 95 receives.

"We do, and it’s because the Type 95 is a very easy weapon to use," said Bowling, "where something like the MK14 – which is what I’ve actually been using recently – is a very powerful weapon, but in my opinion it requires more skill to use than the Type 95."

It's not just down to player skill, however, with Bowling saying that - due to Type 95's "lower barrier to entry" - there's more exposure to the weapon, "so it’s only natural that it’s the gun that gets the most comments."

In the end, Bowling states that a players ability to get kills isn't determined by individual weapon stats.
It is about skill level and a players own ability to get kills. If you wish you can read the full article You must login or register to view this content..

As much as I want to say Robert Bowling is wrong and the game is horrible, (just an opinion, don't get butthurt)
he is absolutely right. No FPS that I have played so far in my lifetime has been perfectly balanced. It inevitably
comes down to your own skill level and ability to get kills. Bowling is right on this one guys. No matter how you look at it.

Thanks for reading and stopping by!

I see where he's coming from when he's making his point, but the Type 95 is in dire need
of some tender loving nerfing.

Every time I die by it, I'm like "Oh I got shot-gunned". I look at the kill feed and see a type 95. Guns shouldn't do that. They need to make the hip-fire more random, ADS slower, have a longer delay between bursts, and/or decrease the effective range. Something should be done because no guns should require only one trigger pull to kill besides snipers, shot guns, and when you get a headshot. The M16 isn't even a 1 hit kill even though on elite it says: You must login or register to view this content.

I've only gotten 1 hit kills with the M16 when I got a headshot.

What would be the point in balancing all the guns? The game would be no fun. In every CoD there is always a couple of dominant guns that people complain about. TBH I think the most balanced CoD was MW2 because of all the OP weapons it had such as UMP, Spas, G18s, AA-12, ACR, Famas, and so on. No gun in that game could out beat another besides the sucky guns.

like xRJC said that would take all the fun out of the game

The sad reality is this game was rushed and made by a bunch of inexperienced interns who don't have a clue on how to make a AAA shooter. Robert Bowling can spew all the BS he wants but the fact is he doesn't have a clue nor a hand in making this game.

Do you really think they don't know that things like FMG Akimbos, Type 95, Deathstreaks,... are overpowerd? The have put them in for beginners. When I started with MW2 I loved things like Martydom, AA12 etc because I was able to get kills and had fun ^-^ Now I hate it... :(

And Robert Bowling is just a liar. When he says that the FMG will get nerfed it won't! When he said "**** You last stand!" he knew that they will have final stand. They need OP weapons for the noobs. Ever wonderd why infected has these weapons (Striker, FMG, RSASS, PP90)? Yes, because they are OP and noobs will find them out Smile

So we can assume that the Model 1887 will not be getting any attachments?

If people want perfectly balanced guns then they might as well make it so everyone uses the same gun so no one can say the other persons gun is "over-powered"
