Post: I Have A Virus... I Think

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've been pretty sure of this for a while, and I cba going into details.

Point is, everytime I start-up my computer 2 CMDs pop-up and then vanish very quickly and I just about managed to get a pic of 1 of them this time, here:

You must login or register to view this content.

Don't mistake hosts.exe for hosts.txt within the \drivers\etc\ folder, this is a different file. It's also hidden, even after enabling to show hidden files.

Point is, what do I do?? As always there's +rep in this for helpers :n00b:

Maybe you have just changed a setting which boots the command version in a higher priority Gasp

Nope, I'm pretty sure there's a virus controlling the f*cking thing.

Also, if I run a different disk defragmentor it says I de-fragmented yesterday, even though I didn't(at least not manually).

You should really system restore. That will remove all virus's from your computer. Usually all computers come with a restre manager like on acer its "ALT+F10" on boot up screen. Just search google for your computer manufacture restore manager....
It just basically restores your computer how it was when you first got it.

I'm tempted to, but I'll lose so many files it's not even funny. On-top of that there's installing and cracking things like Sony Vegas again... arrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh :FU:

Restore only deletes programs, not files, but you will still lose stuff like Vegas :(

Yea that happens to everyone.... Many Anti-virus's won't find anything.
So at the end , you have too. I know it takes long to put back your software but yea it happens....
Hope I helped anyways :P

There is 2 Restores.
One is factory restore, which deletes EVERYTHING.
And the other only fix's the system files but doesn't delete anything, so Virus's will still be there

Personally, I don't think its a virus, look at the HiJack logs...
I think its a program interfering with his comp's settings and has set the CMD version of programs to a higher priority
