The SAS and other Tier 1 special operations have failed in missions, their missions are top secret so you wont know if they have failed or succeeded.

I respect the SAS, you guys just think they are god. A team of 600 men with no air support, artillery support, and limited ammunition can only go so far.


The USMC grunt, 0311, uses M16s which are in fact not automatic. They are single shot and rarely use the brust option because the recoil is too high, as written by a Marine Officer in One Bullet Away. So as far as spraying in praying, so I dont see what your getting at.



And if Russia sent their forces into the UK/USA along with the Germans, you and I both know the Allies wouldnt have won.



I am not disagreeing with you. They are good at guerrilla, stealth, hostage rescue, etc. But that can only go so far.



They have to be. If their cover is blown, they are going to get slaughtered.

Teir 1 special operations missions are highly classified and you will never know exactly what missions they went on and if they succeeded or failed.




Our pilots are just as good as yours. If given the best ace pilot in an outdated jet, the average pilot in the technologically most advanced plane is going to win.








The British pussied out in helping their Ally, the French in the war. We stepped in and did the best we could.

If the British were in the same situation, you too would have done exactly what we did. Life was harsh in the jungle, they would hide with the civilians by day, and set booby trapped mines by night.

I have read numerous books on the Vietnam war and the accounts and diaries that the soldiers went through. Life in the jungle was hell and I respect all my soldiers for stepping up and fighting where the British didn't do shit.

And, in the end, we did loose the war. We pulled out and we lost our mission of keeping away the Vietcong. We tried to help France out, and we decided it was not in out interest to keep fighting for a useless cause.

If anything, your post is the fail post. In two of your answers you have failed to tell people why USMC are better. You first post "USMC!!! Go Devil dogs" or along those lines. You're missing:
The SAS (Special Air Service), the SBS (Special Boat Service), the SSR (Special Reconnaissance Regiment) and the Special Forces Support Group (SFSG) (Basically you missed the whole of the DSF). You missed the RAF (Royal Air Force). Now list them and say who wins... And if you are going to mention SEAL's don't, as we (The British thanks to our Navy) were the start of special forces and still have the best success rate of any force s out there (99%). If it wasn't for the British their would be no SEALS. Throughout time the British where a feared fighting force due to an amazing NAVY division.

America did next to nothing in the First World War.
