(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); just like the title says, where will ilya kovalchuk go?

he refused to stay in atlanta even though they offered him 100 million $ over 10 years, and supposedly the islanders are willing to offer the same amount. reports say the devils are interested and i personally think they have the best shot, but there have also been rumours of him maybe going to the kings. if the price got dropped, the leafs said they would be more interested. so where do you think he will go?

i know most of you are not hockey fans, but im sure someone is on these forums. Smile

To All that are saying KHL is a shit league, In my opinion its better skilled then the NHL.
The KHL is more puck movement faster hockey, pretty much a league of all Montreal/Pittsburgh/Washington like teams.
Little hitting but lots of puck control.

On-topic, I really do hope he goes to the kings now that the NHL rejected his terms with the devils. LA deserves to have a good team, the last time they had one was when they had Gretzky.

it might be a more fast paced skilled league, but the nhl is much better option for players, they get to travel on planes instead of buses and such, better living conditions like hotels and such, etc. but i could talk about how much better the nhl is in so many ways, i do agree that the khl is a high level league, just under the nhl in my opinion

Reports said he went down to LA to meet with the team, this was before the Devils contract however. Maybe the Devils and Kovy are talking about another contract? Who knows.

i heard the king rumours as well, saying he wants to go there, and they were interested in him, etc. i think him and the devils will work out a new contract though if the nhlpa does not accept the last one

I wish dallas would get their head out of their asses and pick him up. With losing Modano they need someone like kovalchuk in the franchise to step them back up into the playoffs.

He was but his contract is over, they tried resigning him but the NHL declined it.
