Rep is the downfall of NGU, people are afraid to voice their opinions because of the worry of their rep being deducted by users.

I for one think it should be removed, what do you think?

I think its fine, 1. it shows how trusted someone can be and 2. It shows how long people have been on the site in a way that people can relate to; it adds a little competitiveness too . Keep rep!

It's true, everybody with low rep will vote to remove it. Then us vets get washed away with all the "newfags" as Dylan said.

No I do not think it should be removed, although it does have some downfalls I only trust people that are premium and have quite a bit of rep because this lets me know that most of NGU trusts this user and give them his/her thanks/rep.

I reckon it would be 50/50 as all the staff seem to be saying get rid of rep.

how about get completely rid of the rep system but create a system that keeps track of your thanks so that people know if they are getting positive feedback on their thread, which would leave out any point in boosting since you get nothing out of it. good idea? THANK to let me know. i don't get anything out of it except the satisfaction of knowing that i had a good idea. all you people with high rep need to look at agentjon. he's been here for years and really built up a reputation. taking away the rep system hasn't hurt his reputation at all obviously. its useless and only creates problems

All of those have either said to get rid of, said to change, or Thanked someone who has said something similar.

I know they're no different to us, I'm just proving a point
