Rep is the downfall of NGU, people are afraid to voice their opinions because of the worry of their rep being deducted by users.

Honestly in my opinion, it is half & half.

The downfall of Rep: It does indeed prevent most user's from voicing their opions. Because if they do, they will most likely get negative rep if it is negative torwards another user. And honestly, no one likes to have or get negative repped. (Except for me because I honestly don't give a shit about rep.)

The Thumbs up about Rep: Although the rep system does lead to broken rules. It is still good to have it. What I'm saying is, if a noob is in need for a prestige hack and someone is holding a service, how would they know if they are a trusted member without revealing their rep? I know I wouldn't give my account information to some stranger. So pretty much the rep shows who is trusted & a contributing member.

I think it would be better if it was removed then everyone is on an equal playing field and other forums I browse don't have rep systems and they function perfectly well. Personally I just don't see the point of rep especially seeing as you can just boost it up so it's really worthless.

if we take it away it might mean no free lobbies, people give lobbies for rep sometimes if they are free.
and i like rep it makes me want to contribute something nice/helpful so maybe one day i will get a star, take people like killak for example THE most helpful member i know (well him or DEREKTROTTER i love these guys)
