I'm against this, no matter the crime. Flame me if you want, but the way i see, the death penalty is a easy escape for the convict, i would much rather see them suffer in a cramped little prison cell for the rest of their lives, dealing with the guilt. Death penalty is simply an escape for prisoners and when you think about it, it's organized and legal murder, we are no better than the murderer him-self if we use the death penalty.

If they really are suffering, dealing with the guilt, and death really is an escape why wouldn't they just off themselves?

it depends what the crime is like if its rape no let them rot in jail like the next 20 years but if its murder yeah all the way but still its completely messed up to kill another human we were all put here for a reason

what do you mean off-themselves? kill them selves? if so, some prisoners have, iv'e seen documentaries on this at school in a criminal justice class, pros and cons both in this situation, but yea people break down in prison, one's doing life man, for the rest of their lives, their guilty. So idk, some do kill themselves.

and whats that "reason"? to live a routine life daily, work endlessly and then die? i don't know the meaning nor reason on life, we all die in the end, nobody wins, but rich people somehow get to taste the better side of life, im sick of seeing my dad parent's work 24/7, that's no "reason" we were put here, life is just a huge confusion.

Yeah kill themselves, a convict who really is suffering and torn by the guilt that sees death as an escape would kill themselves rather than wait years to actually receive the death penalty. The ones who don't feel guilty and are treated like hot shit because of what they did aren't excited to die.

I know. You made the point that death is an escape for convicts because they are suffering from the guilt. I made the point that the ones suffering and see it as an escape would probably kill themselves rather than wait years to actually face the penalty while the ones who don't want to die don't see it as an escape.

People get thrown into prison then they get to stay there for free ( or payed by the tax payers however you want to look at it) they get fed and many people get alot of freedom in prison what the hell kind of punishment is tht? you say they have to live with the guilt well 90% of the time the people tht are sick enough to kill or rape someone dont much guilt in them, screw em just blow their damn heads off and hope you dont get any of their blood on ya.
