(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Everything is so god damn expensive. Compare it to the US which is cheep as hell. Petrol prices, food, electronics etc. I was comparing phones and in the UK it's like twice the $$$

What's your thoughts on this

Can we try and avoid the whole US vs UK debate? We'd probably all be better off in Scandinavia, quality of life there is supposed to be top notch.

We have the NHS. Our government is small enough NOT to be sinister and greedy (although I can't speak on behalf of the Tory's!)

There's tossers everywhere.

The gun crime is way down here compared to America and other countries.

It may be shit weather but we're a safe country.

Between the USA and UK, the UK is probably better/safer.

But i'd still choose Australia over either of them! It looks awesome there

You should not believe that you're health care is completely free. You all pay for it in many ways including higher costs for everything.

As far as a safer place to live?
You may not get shot in the UK but your chances of experiencing a violent crime are nearly 4 times greater in the UK than the US.
The violent crime rate, per capita, makes the UK one of the most unsafe places to live in the world.
Your own media has recently published that 1 in 4 people, living in the UK, will be the victim of a violent crime in their life.
I don't know how you can call that a safe place to live.
You should also research crime statistics in Australia since they enacted their gun control laws several years ago.
They have risen faster than any free country in the world.

Yes the £ is more than the $ but that's why a packet of crisps is 40p here and the same packet of crisps is 79cents in the USA. It balances out to the same equivalent amount. You wouldn't get more for your money if you transfer your money to dollars, it depends completely on the exchange rate to how much money you lose/gain from exchanging currency. But it wouldn't be a massive difference. Maybe just a couple dollars or couple quid.

Understand what you're talking about before trying to sound smart.

hey geekzilla, i wasn tryin to act smart, was jus saying wat i think, and when i went to us, i changed my £ to $ and it worked out more for me, but it depends on what the £ rate is, the £ rate is changing like every 5 mins, it can increase alot ot increase a little bit, it depends, so when i tranfered my £ to $, the pound rate was high,

So you're saying if guns are legal there's less crime? I'd really need to see some figures before you start claiming such ridiculous things. There's even a bank in America that gives you a rifle when you open an account. How stupid is that?

EDIT : Added link with REAL stats. Recent too. You're wrong....just. You must login or register to view this content.

You don't need to be a geek to understand the exchange rate and if you don't understand it then don't exchange your money. No, not by a lot. It's usually and almost always minor. So no, it isn't a big difference. Unless the country has an economic breakdown.
