I'm a Eagles fan and his performance this year and last night is nothing short of game changing.
His new passing accuracy and patience on top of his speed in the scheme they are running could make him one of the top quarterbacks in the game.

I am struggling with knowing what he did. Dog fighting I could forgive easily but personally torturing many dogs is hard to forget. Isn't that the shit that serial killers do when growing up. Does the desire to torture something, just to do it, ever go away?
I guess everyone deserves a second chance. He did his time in prison, lost all his money, and said he is sorry.
I just can't help but feel that he realized that being rich and famous is more fun that torturing defenseless dogs.

Do you think if he won a super bowl he would be saying at the end of the game "I'm going to disneyworld"

The ugly truth is, as an eagles fan, I'm hoping I find out the answer to that question.
But I will never buy a Vick jersey.

You trying to forgive Vick for all the wrong reasons. I'm a lifetime eagles fan, and half of my family is also. We own 2 dogs and love them a bunch, we know what vick was very wrong, but everyone in my family gave him a second chance because once he got too the eagles we saw that he truly wanted to change his life. He was helping out the community, talking about what he did in schools, doing anti-dog fighting rallys, donating to charity, anti-drug abuse, all kinds of things during the offseason when he came to the eagles. Then to top it all off he went and kicked ass on the field. He has shown amazing improvement as a pocket QB, and with his rushing abilitys he deserves to be considerd as one of the best QB's in the league right now.

Everybody deserves a second chance, you would want one right?

I agree with most everything you've said, especially that last sentence.
I admire Reed and Mcnabb for lobbying to give him his second chance. It looks like it will be working better for Andy than Donvan ( certainly better than Kolb ) and I'm pleased to hear that Vick is doing that much community time.
Everyone deserves a second chance but he will have to do more to earn my forgiveness for the torturing part.

He will have to win at least 2 super bowls before I consider sending him a puppy for Christmas.

I easily see him winning 2 super bowls IF he stays healthly, which is really going to be hard with the way he plays. He does a good job of protecting the ball because he doesn't have to force it into coverage like other Qb's because he ran just take off running.

The only probrlem i have with this situation is the way McNabb looks like the bad guy. McNabb has pretty much been my favorite player my whole life (im only 15) and him not being able to win has been disapointing, but it also hasn't been his fault. Up until last year they had NO steady talent on offense besides him and westbrook, and two people wont win you a superbowl. If he had 1-2 more years to work with theese guys he easily would've won. Now with Andy getting rid of him for kolb everyone in philly is going to think they made the right choice because they are winning, when they didn't, because if kolb was starting they would probrably be 2-7.

But i do gotta say this man, your fitting in with most of the how philidephia treats there players steriotype (spell fail) "Win for us we love you, fail and we ****in hate you no matter how much you did for us"

He's the BEST QB in the league, and he's missed 3 games. And the first few games he was sharing snaps with Kolb.

I have been following the Eagles for many years. Mcnabb was the best quaterback they've had and led them to 10 years of playoff runs. Still sorta pissed for not being in good physical shape for the super bowl. Puking in the third quarter???
He has always been a professional and handled the Philadelphia fans better than most could have.
I think that Reid has been as much a factor in the sucess of the last ten years and reconignzes that Donovan is near the end of his run and I've always had a problem with his consistancy.

I have always been a foul and fair weather friend to the eagles.
I just desperatley want to win the big one and had almost written this year off till Reid got lucky on Vick's comeback.
Somehow he lets favorite players of mine go, and still manages to compete, so he must be a better talent judge than me.

I just hope we can ride this freakishly good quarterback to the big one and something special happens. Defense has to pick it up a bit to get there and next weeks meeting with the Giants will be their first real test on how far we can go this year.

Just happy that it looks like it is going to be anohter fun ride.

Yeah he let go of Dawkings, Westbrook, a couple of their good O linemen and D linemen, and then McNabb is the one that finnaly made me give up on them. That of course was before vick started, i never had faith in kolb and figured hey would choke when he had the spotlight on him, but with vick, he has leadership for a team like that. They need a QB that can move around and keep the play alive expecially with that young reciving core, Desean, Maclin, and Avant all have talent they just need the right QB. So as long as Vick is QB i have no doubts they can win a superbowl, with the Wrs healthy 2 ofc.

On a side note: Notice that sence McNabb has left Desean has gotten very cocky, ive always liked him but he sure does have a mouth. McNabb gave him a name with all those bombs he hit him for, but now he seems like he trash talks a good amount, or is mentioned in alot of arguements.

As long as he doesn't turn into a Owens, Ochocinco, or Moss and disrupt the locker room I'm ok with him.
He has a set of hands and feet on him just a little short on maturity and brains.
No real veteran leadership since they let Dawkins go but maybe Vick can step into that role.

I guess vick got a reality check after his time in jail and came back a better man. I wonder if Plaxico will come back a changed man as well.
