(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Can what Michael Vick did be forgiven or overlooked?

I'm a Eagles fan and his performance this year and last night is nothing short of game changing.
His new passing accuracy and patience on top of his speed in the scheme they are running could make him one of the top quarterbacks in the game.

I am struggling with knowing what he did. Dog fighting I could forgive easily but personally torturing many dogs is hard to forget. Isn't that the shit that serial killers do when growing up. Does the desire to torture something, just to do it, ever go away?
I guess everyone deserves a second chance. He did his time in prison, lost all his money, and said he is sorry.
I just can't help but feel that he realized that being rich and famous is more fun that torturing defenseless dogs.

Do you think if he won a super bowl he would be saying at the end of the game "I'm going to disneyworld"

The ugly truth is, as an eagles fan, I'm hoping I find out the answer to that question.
But I will never buy a Vick jersey.

Yes,I do think he deserves a second chance. He knows that the dog fighting was wrong and he has done ALOT of community work with charitys, groups against dog fighting,ETC to make it known he is sorry. Anyway..im not gonna sit here and type a 20 page essay of why he should =D but ill leave you with this! Yes he should

It's not really our place to decide whether or not he should be forgiven. The only thing he hurt was those pit bulls that were being forced to fight at his house. Now I personally don't like the idea of dog fighting, but you have to take a step back and look at the situation. He grew up in the south, where there was dog fighting all around him. When there's something going on all around you you tend not to look at that as something terrible. To them it's more of a cultural thing, just like chicken fighting in Mexico. I'm not saying it's right, but people should also try to understand the situation.

I understand the cultural differences, but what he did would be like finding out that Roberto Duran was participating in Cock fighting and he would squirt lighter fluid on the losing cock birds and laugh will he set them on fire.
Torture is different than betting on animal fights.

Pretty much agreed. It's just in our nature to do as we see. "mokey see monkey do." Just like if a child grows up being abused 99% of the time he will be an abuser. It's not right, It's just how the brain works. I dont think either of theese are right, but Vick has shown that he is on the right path and that he is doing better things with his life. He shouldn't have to WIN Super Bowls to get people to forgive him.

im an eagles fan as well, and do not say 2 championships under vick lmao, no, just no, ur obviosly one of those "oh the eagles are the best" fans, there best chance to win a championship is this year, and if they dont capitalize this year then trust me a championship wont come under vick. this is the year they need to capitalize because although the dallas cowboys are clearly still the best nfc team (as shown in them crushing the giants with kitna(he was part of that 0-16 lion squad), they are 2-7, and even though the giants have a crushing defense this year, their offense is cursed with turnoveritis. Oh and the redskins just blow lol. btw for the Eagles to win a superbowl this year they better 1. decide whether they are going to start nate allen or coleman at fs 2.stop getting too cocky on defense *cough* asante samuel playing off the reciever 10 yds *cough* and 3. give lesean mccoy more carries against shitty run defenses, why da fk did lesean mccoy only get 16 carries against the colts, he was crushing them on every carry.

and as for this vick thing, think of your own habits, your manners at a table, how you act in public, and ask yourself how did you gain those habits/manners/etc.
