(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Figured this would be an interesting debate. So what do you think the cause of it is. As everyone knows this is the Law of Gravity. There is evidence, but no known reason for it. So what do you personally think it is.

Honestly, I have no idea Winky Winky

The sun sending shit out to make planets go around it or something?

Massive objects warp the space around them. Other objects follow a "straight" line through the curved space resulting in what looks like an attractive force between the two.

Your missing the point. What is the cause of it or is it just because? I mean why is there gravity and where does it come from and why.

"Why" is a nonsense question in physics.

There are two things:
1. Laws
2. Theories

Most theories consider why it happens if you look at it. Now laws just say they happen. Something must exist in order for gravity to make sense. That was the point its more of a theory thread than anything.

Watch the video. Gravity can't be explained in terms of things you are familiar with. You will either have to study physics or just accept the fact that gravity exists.

Also, physics doesn't deal with "why" questions. It deals with "how" questions, which are fundamentally different.

Yes, and that is my point. My concept though is that how can something just exist. We have the evidence, but nothing to make it make sense. Science also strives for the "Why" to help lead to new discoveries as well Winky Winky

This is once again an irrelevant philosophical question, not a matter of science. You might as well ask, "why is 1+1=2?" It just is. It's the way our universe works.

Actually 1+1=2 because if you have one item and add another you have 2. It is evidence and can be explained. There are plenty of things unexplained in the universe still. Its size or if it has a size, what happens when you enter a black hole, is there more than one dimension, etc...
