About a month ago I started learning it, got the hang of it in a week and I drive a Standard car now a lot of the time and I personally love it, however, I have the slight fear of stalling on a hill in a city with another car right on my ass. :S

My first car was a manual and i had the same fear as you but after a while you just get comfortable and you forget about about it.

I drive an Automatic car and a 18speed crash gearbox stick shift Class3 dump truck.

I find the stick so sweet to drive especially since i don't use a clutch like you do in a car, but when i get back into my car which is auto its annoying as i'm not used to not changing gears, so driving get boring quickly

For those who have no idea what a 'Crash Gearbox' is go look it up, its the hardest gearbox to use in the world untill you know how it works..

Unlike others here, I actually do have a gf and she is ****ing hot. And to answer your question, yes I do mean jacking off.

I haven't driven a standard yet. I always hear people say how it's fun and they really enjoy it. I would really like to try one out some day. Maybe my next car.

I like standard better because the sound of the engine is so cool when you shift.

i learned to drive abroad and it was on a manual, it was my dads car and he said drive andill tell u what to do, si i started out, andu get used to it after a week or 2, and i have been driving manual for 3 years nowand the other day my gf told me to go take her car down the garage, and honestly i kept on pressing the break because i thought it was the clutch as its on the left and then its accelorater,
lol andin manual u have more performance, u can do alot of shitt with it like if u was beside me in a auto i would quickll shoot off,

and as for getting stuck on hills, i have experienced it, i was driving up the hill and the car infront stopped, now their was a car behind aswell so i just quickly let go of clutch andgave it gass but my car rolled back and almost hit the guy behind me,now my dad told me, u put the handbreak on so your car wont roll back and u find your biteing point and u will feel your car wanting to go so u let go of handbreak??? lol simples

Yea Ive learned and driven manual before, I think it's abit more fun to drive than automatic, but to drive Manual you gotta shift alot, and that can get annoying after driving and stoping etc. :p
