About a month ago I started learning it, got the hang of it in a week and I drive a Standard car now a lot of the time and I personally love it, however, I have the slight fear of stalling on a hill in a city with another car right on my ass. :S

Just use the handbrake to start with till you get the biting point, once u get feel for it you won't need the handbrake :y:

thats what i said aswell, when u on hill just use handbreak andfind biting point then u feel car shaking a little just let go of handbreak and off u go LOL easy as

Yeaa, auto is more boring as you can't really go as fast as you want unlike stick where you have the most controll, i find if im just going for a little trop then automatic is the best but if im going somewhere far and at times i can go fast i will go auto, even though im only 16, i drive around, i look old and im tall so my dad tought me to drive, its awesome can't wait till next year and i get my own car.
