About a month ago I started learning it, got the hang of it in a week and I drive a Standard car now a lot of the time and I personally love it, however, I have the slight fear of stalling on a hill in a city with another car right on my ass. :S

I'm under-age by a lot, but I drive a automatic round my dads track, I find automatic easier and it makes you feel more safe and worry free without having to have your hand on the stick all the time. I can drive a standard but I find it more difficult and I often stall /facepalm

i hope you mean standard as in stick.. i can't stand automatic it is so boring. :p

Unfortunately my car is an automatic, but I'd love to learn how to drive a stick. As dijital said, automatic is just boring, especially if you want the best performance from your car.

I know how to. I prefer to drive my car with paddle shifters from the semi-automatic gearbox. It's more of an automatic than a stick, so automatic.

I can but I refuse to drive stick for many reasons.
1. I can't eat and drive.
2. It's harder to text and drive.
3. Having the gf in the car sucks because I can't hold her hand, leg, etc.
4. Driving in the freeway, in cali, sucks ass, speed ranges from 5mph - 70mph and goes up and down
5. I love having a free hand for w.e. I want to do with it ok!

Automatic. I tried learning stick when I was 16 because I heard they went easier on you during the drivers test but I was too much of a spaz so now I drive my moms minivan instead of my dads ford

Yes, I can. It's what, for me, makes driving fun. I save more gas, car goes faster and manuals are cheaper to repair. Men put the man in manual.

Hills were hard at first for me man, I use to stall the car pretty often too. But now, it just comes naturally.
