Lets get it off our chest, I'm OK with that.

I disagree with your premise of the site being money hungry. While we made donation goals the last 3 months, we went for several in a row before that at 50 to 70% of goal. And when we were exceeding goals in 2010/ early 2011 the goal amounts were only 600 and we had massive influx of members with the hacks going on.
The way we generate revenue is not that intrusive for premium members, and as far as the livestream, it was contracted earlier and it was the only one I recall in over a year.
Too many think that Outsider is making a fortune off this site, it is not a fortune, but whatever he makes is his concern and anyone with half a brain would attempt to make some profit off what this site has become.
Do people go into a Wal Mart and complain to the store manager about how much Sam Walton is making off what he built?

The complaints about the debate section/ consolidation of General forums have some merit, but many ex-staff asked for it over the years, including some that have complained about it here.
The issue now is that it is done, and can not be reconstructed.
We have placed the main debate thread as a sticky and are attempting to have sub sections that can generate more serious or mature discussion, as River Suggested and itwas immediately done.

The site is going through change,as many do. It has lost some it's older members, not just because of change but because people move on.
We are always thinking of ways to bring in new people and keep a small community feel to the place, but it has become a larger community and it is a challenge.

But I can honestly say that in the last couple of months I have seen more dedicated efforts by staff to improve the site.

Lets all give NGS a chance, there is a lot of people working hard on it and it has not had the time yet to put in the content that is desired by all. And other things are coming that have been worked on for a while now.

It is still one of the best sites of its type around out there, and staff and Outsider do listen to the membership, but we can work harder at letting you know that we hear what you are saying.

If we can all pull together here, I'm sure that we'll be pleased that we decided to stay active members on NGU.

NGU has too many useless forums, it takes effort to find something and for lazy bastards like me, it's really off-putting. Btw, I've bee reporting a thread everyday for 3 days and not one staff member has taken a look at it. Sort it out.

I read some ones post about this site getting more and more little kids in, can't remember who it was, but I agree. The reason I think this is happening is this site focuses on CoD way too much. Sure, I know it's what people want and what get's people to the site, but look at the scale of the CoD sections compared to other sections. How many little kids play CoD and want to find out the best new stuff? The site needs to focus on the other bigger games such as Battlefield and Skyrim and so on. Yes, we have sections for them, but if a hardcore BF3 players comes here looking for a discussion on BF3, they'll see the small section and find another forum to discuss BF3. Same with Skyrim or any of the other big releases.

How do you expect to attract a bigger audience to the site when everything is about CoD? CoD has the biggest section on the forum, the first NGS video is CoD. Yeah, OK, it's just started up, I get that, I do, but it's taken about a month later than what was originally planned. I don't know why, could be some technical issues, but this site has a habit of giving release dates, they don't meet them, then the Admins complain about people complaining that it hasn't happened.

I think this site needs involve it's members more, such as the decision to merge all General Discussion to one just because a few ex mods wanted it and from reading this thread not many members did. I like the idea of the intellectual thread though, hopefully it will take off and stay like it is. Someone also mentioned the spam of smiley in the Shoutbox. That's also true. A new smiley comes in and all you see is people spamming it "Oh yeah look a weed smiley. I smoke sooooo much weed. I'm high right now :Weed:" Or whatever. Why not just have the basic smilies and get rid of the meme ones? That's all people do on this site now. Use memes because "It's cool" to try and be a /b/ro by spamming "Cool story bro" on every single thread.

It never got dealt with because when a thread is reported it's turned into a thread and in this case it had been previously reported by someone else, dealt with, thread closed then you reported it so your reports were never seen. It has nothing to do with staff.

Another thing would be telling staff to be less leniant on people... i mean come on some staff are just plain biased
