I was just thinking: How do people see NGU in 2012?

With some new changes, like:

• NextGenSource
  
  
  
  • Partnerships on YouTube
    
  
  
  
• Homepage (Coming soon, from what I know)
  
• Tutorial Team/Staff
  
• NGU as a whole focusing more on media, actual videogaming, but still has a wide variety of hacking/glitching.
  

I personally love it, I'm starting to notice how much the community has changed and how much better this place is getting. Don't get me wrong, I've loved NGU since I signed up, but I haven't felt the same about the community since I've started. Until now, of course, having Outsider make a lot of changes for the better with the website, and seeing Admins interact (at least not as underground), and widening NGUs fanbase.

What do you think?

Can anyone name any other gaming sites which they can say are better then Ngu?
I for one can`t.

To be perfectly honest, i keep on seeing the same members pointing out the "flaws" in this site. And some members only do just that, for example: Chris2k7sears.. he was pretty much was negative about Ngu in all his posts.

And another thing.. i see the same old members complaining most of the time.

My opinion of this site, it`s great.. it still has the latest glitches & hacks, we get new members joining everyday & Outsider is actually being more active now with the addition of NextGenSource.. and admins have added the tutorial staff.

Also.. if your gonna post the "problems" ngu has, then post some solutions to them maybe?

People should seriously quit moaning half the time & maybe instead suggest some things which could improve the site.

I agree with everything you said, I have basically left this site. I go on for about 10 mins a day now, if that.

The only thing I disagree with is the SB, I feel the site has to have it to stay alive. How many members come here JUST for the SB?

How many have you tried? And there are several that are alright.


I like how you quote the word flaws. There are a pretty good size of flaws.

LMFAO OMG LOL... Oh wait your serious. Please look at a list and tell me how much of a "member" are they. The reason NGU has such a large member amount is that it never flushes out members, even from years ago with no posts.


No he isn't. Whenever there is a crisis he shows up, then proceeds to go away.

... are you fucking kidding me right now? People do and they get rejected all the time! Just some examples:
1. Rep(poll showed more users in favor of it)
2. Homepage that still hasn't happened
3. Staff doing completely pointless shit that isn't necessary
4. Getting rid of leechers
5. Staff doing things without consulting members prior to


Honestly I don't expect much from a site, which separates me from a shitload of others. I expect it to have many flaws as it is run by kids who can be immature/stupid at times, it's only natural. Just nothing wrong with pointing out what is true.

Sometimes I feel like you're Bi-Polar. You make constructive ideas one week and tear the place down the next.

Are there issues with the site and how its run, of course, but point out another without similar issues.
I do not like being called a corrupt, immature, ego crazed, try hard staff member.
It is obviously a thankless volunteer job done by some that like being here and want to see the site grow and keep its members staying on.

Most other sites I see do not purge inactive members, nor do they endorse the kind of constant negativity shown by members towards the site or its staff.
Not everyone that says they like it here are kiss ass, mod wannabies either.

I've been around this place for a while and I've seen it change over time. It can never be the place it was in 08/09 when it was so much smaller and everyone knew each other. And go back and look at how some staff talked to members back then. It was often much worse than now.

I only know that the current staff is working much harder on things that will bring new interest in the site, from outside and within.
That glitching and hacks are likely to remain things of the past and new ideas and concepts are being constantly worked on to help with that effort.

Yet most times those efforts are ridiculed by some of our existing members and it becomes extremely frustrating to make the effort to help the site only to be criticized for doing so.

Anyway, You felt the need to vent and so did I.

But if you have been with NGU for a long time, I would think that you would like to see it be around for a long time to come.

It feels like a kick in the gut to respected members say they hate it here now, and the natural reaction of anyone trying to make it a better place would be to say, " So why do you keep logging in?"

You have had to deal with more personal attacks than many on the site, so I'll cut you some slack, but River's comments go well beyond the issues you have had to deal with.
His is an attack on most of the site's operations as well it's staff.
My comments to him are just as applicable to you.

Makes me wonder why you're still on the site, that's a very negative list you have right there.
