Basically that is what is going on with gay marriage. They have every right to be together, but not to get married "as a christian".

Marriage is legal and your church does not hold the monopoly on marriage. Do some research, it's nothing to do with your make-believe god.

2. I don't believe in god. But marriage as a christian was created by "god" and he defines the rules of it, the government has no say in it or not.

1) That's not what I said. I meant that marriage is nothing more than a legal document and what legalities that entails.
2) Again, as I was trying to say, marriage was not invented by Christianity and thus you(they?) do not hold the monopoly on it.

Marriage shows your affection, and love as well. It's not just as plain as a legal document. Also notice my wording, I believe gays should not be married as a christian. As far as I know marriage was created by the Jewish, so it's not that far off than Christians. Thus believing in the same relative ideas. According to your logic, it doesn't matter if you're christian or if you're not because apparently religion has absolutely nothing to do with marriage. By saying that gay marriage should be legal immediately legalized. What gives Christians the right to even argue? so what if they're against it? That's like saying "In my religion we kill children" so now we have to consider killing children, when no other religion supports it. Which is just plain dumb.
I indefinitely believe gays have every right to be together, but if religion isn't a placeholder in the factor of marriage then go for it. They still shouldn't be able to get married as a christian whether is legal or not.
