I don't agree with it. I guess it's my old school hick way of thinking, but it even goes against our survival. If the gay population rises, the general population will decrease.
We have plenty of people, and just because they aren't getting married doesn't change the fact their still gay.

What makes your *OPINION* more correct then his? He thinks it's wrong, and to that you say it isn't. I've had debates with you before, and you always have a logical backing. What's your backing to this?
First, he states all people think his way, which they simply don't.
For one, my opinion doesn't impede on others civil rights. His persecutes and segregates homosexuals on simply ridiculous charges. If I had an opinion that people who like coke should be allowed to drink from soda fountains I would be laughed at and ridiculed, yet people do this to homosexuals and sometimes receive applause.
Homosexuality is genetic. It would be as if I asked if you prefer coke or pepsi. You don't choose to enjoy one more beverage more, you just simply do. To discriminate on grounds of being born different, while causing no harm in your actions born with, is ridiculous.
Look, it has been compared to, and I think it could easily be looked at in the future, to racial discrimination. Now I know it isn't near the same, for obvious reasons, but isn't it a bit silly? About 50% of Americans feel homosexuals should be able to be married (The term marriage, not civil union or whatever). That, while pathetic, is a large amount.
As for the whole civil union ordeal, it simply isn't equal to marriage. Marriage has perks and are treated different that those "unions" don't receive. If you made it 100% equal, then maybe you could formulate an argument. It won't matter though, gay marriage is an idea becoming only more accepted as the antigay propaganda is often laughable.
