(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys. I've recently and rather later than a lot of my atheistic counter-parts, thought long and hard about religion and the main question, does God exist. I've reviewed all points and after a while have come to the conclusion that God does not exist for the simple fact that there is no evidence to suggest that he/it does exist. A quote from the late great Christopher Hitchens states "A theory that can be proposed without evidence and be equally dismissed without evidence".

I could write a book at this stage with all reasons why I no longer believe in an all powerful, unquestionable dictator.. but that would take a while and it's 4am.

What's your thoughts on religion and do you think god exists?

My personal theory;

When Sir Isaac Newton discovered gravity, he didn't say "this proves there is no God." He said "What a wonderful God that did it that way." I like to believe that everything scientific and otherwise was set forth by God, or Allah, or whatever you'd like to believe it. I find it rather depressing to think that there wouldn't be a God, and nobody has a soul, and this is all just pointless. The way I see it, if I'm right, I might make it to heaven, and if i'm wrong, I was doomed from the start anyways and it doesn't matter.

~that's all I got.

Bout the 9th time a thread like this has been posted, but ill share my thoughts anyway.

I dont believe there to be a "God", If any proof is provided, I will go and follow him, but up until that point in time, I will stick besides the "Science" explanation, simply because it provides me with an explanation as to what is happening.

Evolution theory is the theory. Biological evolution is a natural process. It has been proven true. Evolution theory has also been proven true. If it was not true, it would not be a scientific theory.

People who choose to believe in 'god' thats their decision, at the end of the day they are being naive and are ignoring all scientifically proven avenues of human creation.

Time to learn scientific theory?

No. A scientific theory is an umbrella theory based on observable data and empirical measures - it's been proven. Where theories differ from other scientific truths, though, is that they are designed to predict outcomes. Theories are often rejected or modified as new evidence emerges.

A theory is true otherwise it wouldn't be a theory. A theory is different to a myth of a hypothesis lol virtually a theory has been proven true bye a body of scientific facts but it is impossible for man to recreate ie human creation.

Haha wow are you serious? "People need to remember that the big bang theory is a theory" ? Do you know what particle acceleration is? The Hadron Collider? Hahaha.. Quite a few years ago they were able to replicate the "big bang theory". Rekt

Not even close to the definition of a scientific theory.

As I said it's a theory I don't understand what you're disagreeing with here....
