To those who use the word
theory naively... Just because something is a theory you think it's appropriate to completely disregard it as nonsense? Like the theory of gravity or the shape of the Earth?

I'd also like to chime in on the overall discussion, I see it as something we shouldn't even concern ourselves with. If there is a God, and he/she/it/they would be so foolish as to send those who do not worship them to "hell", well then I'd rather be in "hell" than be punished for questioning what's crammed down most people's throats as kids. Regardless of whether or not you believe in the existence of a deity, you should be more focused on the present than worrying about the (improbable) possibility of an afterlife. We'll never know (at least in any of our lifetimes) so there's no point bitching about it.
