PS3 = Superior?
The Xbox has been outselling the PS3 the last few months but why is a mystery to me.
There are a bunch of reasons to own one of the big three consoles, but this thread focuses on PS3 and why, if you already don't own one. Sure it’s the third home console from Sony and had the advantage of following the Playstation 2, one of the most popular home console in all the of video gaming’s history and with all reason to as it took gaming in all aspects to the next level. But you can’t write the PS3 off as successful just because the first two consoles from Sony did very well. As you’ll see by the reasons below, the PS3 has a lot more going for it than just some great lineage. So get reading these reasons why you should own one and be sure to buy one if you already havn't.
#1 One of the best Blu-Ray players available.

#2 Playstation Network (PSN) is free. Xbox LIVE can’t say that.

#3 Bluetooth functionality. No need to pay for special wireless headsets unlike Xbox standard ones. :rolleyes:

#4 Rechargeable controller with USB cable for charge and play (no AA batteries).

#6 Wi-fi since day one. If you bought your Xbox 360 prior to E3, you need to buy a wireless adaptor. The PS3 has been wireless since launch.

#8 Playstation Move is right around the corner and offers amazing motion controls in HD. (with buttons) as opposed to the new supposed Kinect for Xbox. We will see which provails after both are released.

#9 First Party Exclusives – Sony has some of the best in-house studios and continues to pump out the best first-party games this side of Nintendo.

#10 Growing support from 3rd party publishers. Major publishers never left, but their support is expanding with exclusives and content.

#11 Hulu – The popular internet streaming option is exclusive to PS3 till 2011.

The xbox has got blue ray now if you count the xbox slim that just came out a few weeks ago but idk i have an xbox and im still wondering why i got one and havent gotten a playstation i havet even touched a playstation yet but i got the second and 1st but the 3rd one i didnt get the 360 only xbox i got but im looking to get rid of xbox and get a slim or get rid of xbox for good and pick me up a playstaion

PS3 all the way, I had my brother and many friends try to talk me into buying an Xbox, sure it was cheaper, came with 4 games and was "apparently better" but I stood by my decision and got a PS3, I don't regret this decision at all 
Xbox breaks, Microsoft is all about cheap stuff, they never survive for that long....Yea sure Halo was cool back when it came out, when there were about 5 FPS games in existence, now it is complete crap compared to them.
The only reason I would ever buy a 360 would be for Gears Of War, only that, maybe to be able to play against some friends too, I don't see many Xbox games appealing... Uncharted 2, God Of War, Ratchet And Clank and the rest of the exclusives shit on Xbox's games, sure you got a lot of exclusives but we still got the quality
Also I don't see the point in the 360 'slim' It pretty much is the original Xbox, only it is an extra like $150, has a better fan and doesn't need a wifi adapter, they copied the original PS3's touch sensitive buttons too.
Don't call me a PS3 fanboy, as you are most likely a xbox fanboy, I am just simply posting my thoughts.:whistle:

nice feature dude , given the choice the ps3 is the obvious winner , but price has alot to do with it , when you can pick up a xbox that plays most of the games on the market , why would you pay $100 more on a ps3, some people dont have the money to afford a ps3.

The PS3 is by far, hands down, the best entertainment system in the market. It appeals to people of all ages and it's just plain sexy
