PS3 = Superior?
The Xbox has been outselling the PS3 the last few months but why is a mystery to me.
There are a bunch of reasons to own one of the big three consoles, but this thread focuses on PS3 and why, if you already don't own one. Sure it’s the third home console from Sony and had the advantage of following the Playstation 2, one of the most popular home console in all the of video gaming’s history and with all reason to as it took gaming in all aspects to the next level. But you can’t write the PS3 off as successful just because the first two consoles from Sony did very well. As you’ll see by the reasons below, the PS3 has a lot more going for it than just some great lineage. So get reading these reasons why you should own one and be sure to buy one if you already havn't.
#1 One of the best Blu-Ray players available.

#2 Playstation Network (PSN) is free. Xbox LIVE can’t say that.

#3 Bluetooth functionality. No need to pay for special wireless headsets unlike Xbox standard ones. :rolleyes:

#4 Rechargeable controller with USB cable for charge and play (no AA batteries).

#6 Wi-fi since day one. If you bought your Xbox 360 prior to E3, you need to buy a wireless adaptor. The PS3 has been wireless since launch.

#8 Playstation Move is right around the corner and offers amazing motion controls in HD. (with buttons) as opposed to the new supposed Kinect for Xbox. We will see which provails after both are released.

#9 First Party Exclusives – Sony has some of the best in-house studios and continues to pump out the best first-party games this side of Nintendo.

#10 Growing support from 3rd party publishers. Major publishers never left, but their support is expanding with exclusives and content.

#11 Hulu – The popular internet streaming option is exclusive to PS3 till 2011.

this thread is a joke free interent and a browser my lil sister can do that with a Wii and who needs it it runs slow as shit anyway or better yet lets Download a million pictures of nothing to my console from my camera i have a way better program on my computer what a waste and then dont even make me laugh with the lil kid exclusives other then uncharted 2 and MLB the show the exclusives are beat and as far as paying for my interent i will have fun getting all the Cod maps before everyone on ps3 plus lets not forget the hundreds of arcade games that are MS exclusives everyone on PS3 will never see plus all the game demos...and for the kid that said you need to buy all kinds of extras let me know how much you need to spend for a PS3 with a 250GB HDD and a mic to go along with it its alot more then $300 this thread is a Fail have fun sitting on you PS3 crying wondering when Cross game chat is gonna come out lol

when u said stuff about the mic needed ect i lol'd £250 for a ps3 that comes with all you need, mic controls bdvd remote ect, compare that to xbox £180... yes £180 it comes with a control and a headset and a month online, now 3 years down the line, your xbox has broke atleast twice, youve gone trough 5+ headets 2 controls payed an extra £80+ for online head sets £10 so thats £50 a control another £30 and ofcourse £80+ in online fee's so in 3 years your ps3 cost... £250 and xbox cost £340 and then coulple of months you couldent play it because it was away getting repaired
and your arcade games argument is a complete fail, ps3 has internet... hello internet?
we know the PC will always surpass ps3 or xbox why bring this into the picture, PS3 wasent trying to take the place of a pc (even tho if you wanted you probbaly could use it like a pc)
and wait for it... xbox 360 will never surpass ps3 no matter how much crap u add into it 1 simple FACT PS3 is more powerful AND has BluRay
so please dont try and flame the ps3 with xbox is better ect, i got both consols and if you did u would know PS3 surpases xbox in everyway except exclusives
