[CONFIRMED] Black Ops Servers Not Being Shutdown

A lot of rumors have been swirling that the Black Ops servers will be shut down. Well thanks to Nickjcal of TitanReviews and N4G, and JD2020 we now know that is false. Lets take a look at the email conversation.

Hello and thank you for contacting Activision Technical Support.

Fortunately, that was just a misunderstanding and a quote from one of our representatives was taken out of context and created a lot of confusion. We can assure you that the Call of Duty: Black Ops servers are not being shut down, and this is a false alarm. We are sorry for any inconvenience or unnecessary worries this may have caused, but as of now, there are absolutely no plans for the servers to be taken down.

I dug a little deeper into this and found a tweet from JD_2020 (Josh Olin, Community Manager of Black Ops). He to has confirmed that all this is a big misunderstanding.

I honestly wouldn't even care if they did or not. There's plenty of FPSes out there, and CoD is starting to get very boring now.

I'd be glad about Black Ops servers shutting down, not CoD4 though.

Trolling is a art
"PS3 Server" Comments were taken out of context. Quite honestly, in no way does he actually say that they will not be shutdown. Now, JD 2020 may not be the smartest, but he has enough brains to know that the people who follow him are 12 year olds. So why would he not put it in simple language "The rumors of Activision shutting down PS3 servers are false." Because he has been told not to. Think about it, and it will make sense....

I highly doubt that right now, with the way they're handing out the console bans, Treyarch are going to lose ALOT of money.
