My how the tables have turned once again. A surprising turn of events occurred the other day. In regards with the court case between George Hotz (Geohot) and the Sony Corporation. The Judge overhearing the case actually went into the favor of Sony Corporation.

The judge decided California did indeed have jurisdiction of the case and granted Sony's request for a temporary restraining order (TRO) against George Hotz.

What does this mean? It means that he has to surrender his PC's, PlayStation 3 consoles and just basically anything he used while hacking into the PlayStation 3 console/gaming equipment.

So in this thread I would like to see what your comments about this is. Do you feel bad for him or do you agree? Can't wait to see what you guys have to comment on.

To Binary's defense, if you can't type with correct grammar nor create a logical argument, I suggest you quit making yourself look like a ****tard with comments like "omg sony sak da big fat dik!!!!1111".

And I kinda feel sorry for him, I mean it's not that bad I suppose since its not jail time or anything. But getting into a conflict like this with a giant-ass corporation, what're you going to expect?

By the way for people talking about the ToS, terms of service is exactly as the name says, if you break the ToS all they can do to you is deny their service. Which basically means they have the right to ban you from the PSN network and possibly take away your PS3. That's all.

Sony is going out of hand with this, a cease and desist would be right here.. You must login or register to view this content. under "Community code of conduct" There says no hacking yes, but I feel as in my opinion that Geohot Shouldn't have been sued by sony...

If Sony didn't sue him, GeoHot was going to keep on the path that he was one.

not to bitch but jail isn't like that.

Im not sure how it is in other countries but in australia we have levels.

Pretty sure he would have went to Low level prison which is with people who have done small crimes

He would most likely not get raped:P

There not going to put a computer hacker in prison with murderers and rapists etc.
