Sony is now taking a further step in protecting the security of the PS3. They've already took Geohot to court, and now plan on hunting down other hackers, firmware developers, and program creators. It's even rumored that Sony is checking sites like xxx-Scene, YouTube, Twitter, PayPal, and Slashdot to find the identities of the hackers who are continuously releasing and creating programs that further exploit the PlayStation 3.

Some of the big name hackers they're going after are Kmeaw, Wanikoko, KaKaRoTo, and Graf Chokolo who is currently working on returning Linux to the PS3.

Well thnk about it most hackers are still on 3.55 coz they bypassed but hackers like me ( DOPEY) who did the update are getting system banned NOT account banned :n00b::wtf::banhamma::mad::bat::tits::muck::whistle: Gobble

The only reason why they got geohot so quickly (kinda) is because he was so public aboot it. We'll have to see what Sony does, it would be funny thought if they went through sites like these and found out where you lived through your IP addresses.

On a side note, I am pretty sure someone from Treyarch reads these forums as I know their community manager was on a random forum and found a hacker there.
