Following up from the rumors surrounding the new studio "Project Beachhead", there now seems to be a paid subscription fee coming.
A couple of days ago, Activision announced the establishment of this new studio but didn't go into too much detail. Well now Wedbush Securities video game industry analyst Michael Pachter, says that you will indeed be paying to play future Call of Duties.

Patcher will be watching for console stats. He will be focused on seeing if one "side" starts charging and the other remains free.
Are you guys willing to pay the subscription fee? I'm personally hoping Battlefield 3 will be good, because that's what's getting my money.

In my opinion they shouldnt do it because they will lose SO much business.. MY SELF i dont play campaign until the servers crash or something and if i have to pay to play multiiplayer i wont even bother thinking of the game. I already quit balck ops as of that game is garb. mw2 and cod4 are the best infinity ward should make every game and we should still have free play. i doubt there making us pay but yea

I think it all depends on what i get and for how much and if i need to pay or not...right now for 2 MP's i will have put out 30$ so if they charge 30$ and throw in the MP's free its worth it which is what they might do since not everyone buys their Mp's...But if they charge you say 30$ and then still charge you for the MP's then its no brainer im not paying and if you force me to then i won't buy the game i will find something else to play and just play the old cods for free
