Infamous hacker, George Hotz, recently asked his fans for donations to cover his legal fees following the Sony lawsuit on his PlayStation 3 hack.

A few days ago Hotz commented that he has acquired enough money from the donations to pay his lawyers; however, recent speculation suggests that Microsoft may have contributed a large sum of the legal fees Hotz needed.

The information was supposedly leaked from a source close to Hotz, who has asked to remain anonymous to ensure it does not damage Hotz' defence.

Microsoft previously offered George Hotz money to hack the Windows 7 phone, so this speculation could prove to be true.

Microsofts got Geohot from behind so Sony's only option is to take him from the front.

Microsoft>Sony

That makes it interesting especially if true.

Paying money to hack their own phone? :carling:

If Sony looses, I have a strange feeling this website will shift from a mostly Ps3 website, to a Xbox-360 website.
