Infamous hacker, George Hotz, recently asked his fans for donations to cover his legal fees following the Sony lawsuit on his PlayStation 3 hack.
A few days ago Hotz commented that he has acquired enough money from the donations to pay his lawyers; however, recent speculation suggests that Microsoft may have contributed a large sum of the legal fees Hotz needed.
The information was supposedly leaked from a source close to Hotz, who has asked to remain anonymous to ensure it does not damage Hotz' defence.
Microsoft previously offered George Hotz money to hack the Windows 7 phone, so this speculation could prove to be true.

IMO.. Geohot is proving a point and trying to help all the people that like to hack. Geohotz point is true, its his PS3 he paid for the PS3 so he should be able to do what he wants with it.. well any game from the PS3 should be able to do it.. i think SONY are taking action because of Ifinity Ward / Treyarch have been having complaints about hackers so they then report it back to SONY how many complaints they have had and SONY has done a bit of research and it has come back to Geohot as he released his CFW..
