Infamous hacker, George Hotz, recently asked his fans for donations to cover his legal fees following the Sony lawsuit on his PlayStation 3 hack.
A few days ago Hotz commented that he has acquired enough money from the donations to pay his lawyers; however, recent speculation suggests that Microsoft may have contributed a large sum of the legal fees Hotz needed.
The information was supposedly leaked from a source close to Hotz, who has asked to remain anonymous to ensure it does not damage Hotz' defence.
Microsoft previously offered George Hotz money to hack the Windows 7 phone, so this speculation could prove to be true.

its not just SCEA .. it involves SCEI as well as its a INTERNATIONAL Corporation! Who cares if they are american .. Sony is from Japan

got to remember, microsoft had to break down the company due to courts saying they had a monopoly. so stock went down due to that, they are still a giant company and a majority of software for pcs and such come from them, sony..is a leader in hardware and electronics. and if microsoft is doanting to geohot, its more of a marketing ploy, make microsofts image better in the eyes of gamers.
