I'd have to go with San Andreas because it had my favorite protagonist, it had my favorite weapons, it had my favorite vehicles, CUSTOMIZATION, i liked the story, you felt accomplished at the end, fun side quests, and of course NOSTALGIA.

i liked 1 and 2, simple, but it was fun to just go in and raise hell without being very tied down to a story

GTA San Andreas was the best, no doubt! I hope GTA IV will be similar.

San Andreas contains a lot of features as compared but seems boring. An upgrade should be released. Now I came to GTA 4, its cool.
