We know that:
- Cars with hybrid parts (chassis, drivetrains) have been returned to stock.
- Car data now read from game data, rather than save data.
- X2010 JP no longer displayed.
- Special Gift items, (such as the L4/L5 turbos, L4/L5 weight reduction and triple plate clutch) can still be applied.
- Special tyres (RSS, SSS, (C), (V)) still usable.
- BHP multiplier no longer in effect.


Can someone confirm if :

- Stock cars with HP/Grip multipliers are affected.
- Settings changed beyond standard range are affected (Downforce/ridge height/etc)
- Gift items are affected
- Gift tickets are affected
- Money/XP levels have been altered
- Anything else?

So what were all these posts on threads about DLC cars having exclamation mark the next time they loaded up GT5 and are online with this 2.12 patch? Were they using methods that was not the same as just swapping out body codes? or does the simple matter of swapping out body codes will only work once? I'm pretty sure I read a post where one had to use a donor car and when he reloaded his game the proper name showed up in his garage but he also got an exclamation mark beside it asking him to obtain the proper DLC.

comfirmed. if you create any DLC's after 2.12 update, you will have a exclamation point next to the car and the game will indeed ask you to install data. if you try to select the car, you will have a black screen and it will reset to GT menu. i created the stealth and chromelines way before the update and i still have them but dind't drive them yet.

Thanks, still on 2.11 with stealth and chrome line cars plus those US/JP only special cars. I also did read that you can switch into those cars when you are in a lobby/lounge but you can't do it in garage. I don't know what will happen if you try other ways. Though it makes me a little curious as to what will happen to those donored cars that were turned into DLC. Would they forbade one to use them eventually by giving that exclamation mark? I mean this is with the ones that were created prior to 2.12 patch.

I was meant to say in my previous other posting on this same thread that illegitimate purchases of DLC items on GT5 would be nullified was mainly aiming at the likes of the DLC cars. Only time will tell if PD decides to forbade the use of illegitimately obtained DLC paints, gears, etc.

Actually you can create some cars after patch 2.12.

I haven't had a chance to check other DLC cars(Those installed from the DLC Icon ingame) as I already have them but I guess they work aswell??

Haven't tested this but I guess it's like this, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I guess that those(aswell as the hybrid) cars exists in your garage as long as you don't enter to that car they do get reseted only if you check them in the garage, atleast other sheets are still unchanged until you enter to them.

if only i got the chance to buy the stealth and chromelines, i would buy them in a hartbeat!
i allready bought all DLC stuff twice now for 2 different accounts.

like you said, nothing will happen to your hybrids after update 2.12 aslong the game don't have to load the car.
i can remenber that 1 car was working without installing DLC, i think it was the BRZ but i'm not sure.

*edit* just created a R8 chromeline and it doesn't work. you can't select the car, not offline or online.

correct me if i'm wrong but you bought the game way before modding was possible, that means that you bought a game that you allready knew was boring?!
i admit, modding was fun but GT has always been a racegame. we now simply return to the basics of the game.

just tested myself by making a R8 chromeline, it doesn't work.
