We know that:
- Cars with hybrid parts (chassis, drivetrains) have been returned to stock.
- Car data now read from game data, rather than save data.
- X2010 JP no longer displayed.
- Special Gift items, (such as the L4/L5 turbos, L4/L5 weight reduction and triple plate clutch) can still be applied.
- Special tyres (RSS, SSS, (C), (V)) still usable.
- BHP multiplier no longer in effect.


Can someone confirm if :

- Stock cars with HP/Grip multipliers are affected.
- Settings changed beyond standard range are affected (Downforce/ridge height/etc)
- Gift items are affected
- Gift tickets are affected
- Money/XP levels have been altered
- Anything else?

Not that this is directly related to GT500 Stealth and Chrome Line cars, but:

You can 't buy Chevrolet Camaro SS Edge Special, its not available as a DLC that you can get anymore. I don't know if the NAM gamers still have access to this car but I do recall on gtplanet forums it was only released for a short period of time under special circumstances will one be able to acquire the car.

You can't buy Toyota Camry #20 Joey Logano Gamestop Fantasy Nascar, its not available as a DLC. It was only offered to those who pre-ordered GT5 back in 2010 from Gamestop website. Unless if you know of someone who is happy to share you their PSN account with the redeem codes (which I highly doubt if it will ever work).

You can't buy Red Bull X2010 5G, it was probably never available as a DLC. If anything it was only available to Japanese gamers under the condition that they could "borrow" the car to do a special seasonal event.

Last but not least you can't buy any of the GT Academy 2012 cars as they came under a separate disc and/or available through special event restricted to certain countries.

How do you explain all these favouritisms? 　There's still plenty of DLC that is not for everyone.



You can probably still buy those cars if you could get your hands on copies of collector's edition of GT5. I do not know if redeeming the codes will give you access to all the GT500 Stealth cars or Chrome Line cars in one hit. I do recall initially they will only give you two or three of each (2-3x GT500 Stealth and 2-3x Chrome Line) depending on where you purchased the collector's edition from. Besides the 6th Chrome Line (Jaguar XJ13 Race Car Chrome Line) was not included in the initial set of Chrome Line cars so I don't know if redeeming codes will also give you acesss to that car.

Japanese gamers got a bit lucky, on their PS Store they can purchase 3 random Chrome Line cars without having to purchase the collector's edition of GT5. You can probably also use that technique as well if you wish to purchase Chrome Line legitimately.

As for the extra purchasing of the exact same DLC items twice or however as many times, you know you could just get the Family Pack which supposedly enables you to use the same PSN (the one with all these DLC items already purchased) to be used on the other accounts. I'm not sure what is the exact limit but I have read that it can be used up to 5 times for a DLC item.

1. = US only so I didn't mention this.
2. = US only so I didn't mention this.
3. = Not DLC and not even available without modding.
4. = Not DLC and people already trading these....

Pre-order bonus! those are meant for them who pre-ordered the game and not for all players. Some people pre-ordered it with high price because they wanted to get that car, I guess they don't like that later those cars are sold in PSN Store.

And some stores still might have some codes for stealth and chromelines.

I would like to have Fantasy Camry and Edge Special too but I live outside of US so I can't have them and I can live without them.

(I even have code for Edge Special but I need US region disc to get it working).

even if they put them on PSN store at a high price, even then i would buy them.

are you sure you need US disc? i tought that car was for US accounts only. i created that car before update 2.11 and i have EU version.

I have 2.11 on one HDD and 2.12 on second.

I'm sure about that disc thing, when it was possible to make those codes I created few and I reedemed one on my PS3.

Usually when you look at the version history it shows the DLC:s you have downloaded, right?

I now have two different gt5 game data files. One with gamedata and all my other DLC:s and one only few KB size with only Edge Special key file.

Actually probably all of the four categories except for one was false. GT Academy 2012 cars can't be traded normally, you can share glitch them but you can't gift them away. Mind you they were given to those who did the initial part of the series to get it "from a friend". Besides they were already in the game data (since circa spec 2 patch) seeing as how grabbing those hex data and chucking them in a donor car would still render them usable.

I forgot to mention there's one more hidden car that was once offered as part of purchasing a couple of DLC but is now no longer offered. Toyota FT-86 II Concept, though granted the car can be traded normally but meh.

What Don-Wakita said about the Edge Special Camaro SS. I completely agree, I too have EU only copy of the disc and I have got the car working prior to 2.12 patch (albeit not legitimately). I've read somewhere (probably from gtplanet.net) that they didn't restrict it via having US region copy of the disc but requiring the PSN of that user to be within NAM. Without the PSN being within NAM they cannot collect the gift car ticket, so it probably wasn't so much of disc region issue.

Aboveall else, many of these DLC/hidden items were all time constrained in one form or another. In a bid to keep the exclusiveness for those in the know and everyone else out.

Was just in a jdm room, with a slammed Honda CRX Del sol, how is that possible, i know for a fact it was patched, but no here it is sparking...how? his psn was luisjdm13, Can anyone shed some light on this?

Depends how it modded in the first place. I have 3400S that retained its RGT engine after the update and a buddy has an 86GT that retained it's Supra engine. This Del Sol may have retained it's suspension mod.

All the Chrome Line and Stealth cars is working by me, I created them after the latest update though. Grip and weight edits dont work anymore, but I can still lower cars, edit downforce and colours.
