The only reason I can point to is one that I've seen in the past on various projects. GT6 is just an evolution of GT5 with new graphical bits. The save game code is probably exactly the same so they rolled the code back into the GT5 branch and released this patch. If they hadn't, modding would be possible in gt6.
In my experience, you don't fight fire with brute force. The smart thing would be to evolve the game to match the demand of the public. Namely, balance the cars better, allow for more adjustment in the cars, allow for more power, and engine swapping. ALL of that would have been less work and more benefit overall than this B S war they're fighting.
^^^Just because you con yourself to believe something, it doesn't give validation as facts.
We don't know the real reasoning as to why they did it this late with the new series release right around the corner.
Even still, it'll become a never ending battle of "us" vs them leading into GT6 if they continue to fail to deliver.

Con myself? How many projects have you been on?
Gt6 is most likely the main branch. With any franchised game, there is (at least) a main branch, a released branch, and a patch branch. No one rewrites everything for a sequel, that's a waste of money. Do I know as a fact that gt6 is the main branch? No, I don't, but the likelihood of it being anything other than the main branch is very low. If you don't roll bug fixes into the other branches, you run the risk of retaining or reintroducing old bugs, such as verified game exploits.
I'm sure the more frequent users of this forum already know this to be a fact.
the body code is huge now compared to xx xx, its like xx xx xx xx xx xx xx, and i already tried the 74 thing on the first ff after it but it didnt work
corvette zr1, what the body code is now, dont know if its that big or still the 2 values? You must login or register to view this content.
C84C think that's your body code in that pic correct me if I'm wrong
I also think that this needs to just be added to the game. Engine swaps chassis widening. better balance. Its supposed to be a real simulator.. Well I can do all of this in real life can I not?
Just updated, and nothing happened to my cars. And garage editor 1.6 still works (cept for the body) but that never worked for me). Got rid of the 100,000,000 bhp cars though, so im fine with it.

LOLLLLLL that's because you clicked auto 74 on the new garage editor xD Luca is who made it, so he made it say his name instead of 74, showing he is responsible for the making of your car basically.
Well, on the bright side, not everything was reverted. If you don't open your body swaps in the garage then it doesn't revert.
Tested. Changed car, went to a track, viewed the car from the exterior camera, switched to another car, etc. All good on that front. I would imagine colour swaps are also ok, but I did not test that.
