I just clued in that my post was misleading. the body swap remains, but it sets the chassis to match the body. So, use the stealth GTR as an example. I sources the Impul Calsonic GTR as a donor and gave it the stealth body. WITHOUT OPENING IT IN THE GARAGE (which sets the garage name to the chassis name, and which tips the game off that you do not have the rights to this car) you can go to any track. The chassis will be set to match the car, but the garage name will remain unchanged.

You get to keep the stealth car and it's proper chassis as long as you never view it in the garage.

So, in response to Viper's post above (with the SLS stealth example), a body swap will get you the entire car. You can no longer swap a body and retain the original chassis. Shame too. The muscle cars were so much better with GTR chassis :s

I'd like to thank ALL the talented people that made it possible for old guyz like me to create sweet rides. Man I like 'em SLAMMED and I just can't get enough. If psn wasn't so anal about it they'd see this as free research and create a game around modding rides. I'd also like to think they'd have a pro drag strip with a tree and everything that goes with it on GT6. If I've learned one thing about Japanese in my long life, if it's not their idea it's not going to happen. Anyway, at least they aren't fixing the painted hacks yet. Thanks Again. WL

I think a found a way how to repaint the car with the factory/stock colors without using the 74 code, or changing the 03 FF FF FF paint code.. I will confirm this later on..

I still not find a way to do chassis or engine swaps yet..

Can’t trickshot me!
74 for colours? *scared*
if you mean the "03 FF FF FF" offset (or BodyRimColour as I like to call it) + 0x5c, you've succesfully discovered the DealerColour, which only effects if the BodyRimColour is set to default (0x03FFFFFF)..

If I'm wrong with my guess, I'd like to read more about this Happy

Trying to find a way to do chassis and engine swaps, I found this stock/factory color hack.. This is a stock fiat 500, 68'.. Here is step by step how it was done.. Enjoy!!

Choose the car you want to change the factory color, save the game and save the data to a USB, flash drive or memory stick..

You must login or register to view this content.

Make a backup file, and open the saved data in your computer with brute force, and decrypted the data..
(DONT FORGET TO MAKE A BACKUP DATA.. IM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOST OR DAMAGED DATA!!!)

Open HXD and do CRTL + G and type "E880"

Now, you will look for the number after the 8 FF after the body code.. (It's after the "74" we used to put to hack in update 2.14)

You must login or register to view this content.

You must login or register to view this content.

And you will change for any lower number you want.. If the number is 00, you can go up 01, 02..
(NOTE: If you put a number of a color that not exist, the game will not load. Is always better to go lower than higher.. Color and number will vary depending on cars.. This won't work on cars that have only one factory color.. In the free tickets area in garage editor 1.3, you can see how many color each car has)

I did number 06..

Now, saved the HXD and encrypted the data..

Save the new saved data into your PS3, run the game, and go to Auto GT..

You must login or register to view this content.

Now, change the rims or spoiler to make the car data update..

(Note: You must update the car data to make this hack work)

Now, check your car in the garage, and enjoy!!
