The car feels great, this spec is very nice, the car feels good on any Sport Tire so great for long races as tire selection can be used to gain an advantage.

I'll have more time for getting back behind the wheel over the weekend. I've got internet getting moved on the 7th, so we can try to arrange some Online time to hook up. When that happens there will be good warning on here so anybody who wants to join is welcome to.

Did You drive online Your time on Big Willow or garage ==> free run? I understand online, but not free run ( you must go there clearly under 1.26, maybe under 1.25 ).

There is intresting post by Sinister on page 28. Have You guys some kind a system to compensate transfer of balance somehow when adding wing and adding more downforce ( adjusting springs with some method or ballast )? Do I need some kind of system?

I'm in, if I have possibility to come there ( there must allways be someone, who is slowest and I'm willing to be that one - now everyone can take part of this race ).

I was in Arcade Mode running laps, I got internet getting set up on Tuesday.

Yeah basically the spring treat DF like weight 100kg of downforce is like an extra 100kg pushing on the springs when she's moving.

It was my first session after about a week of DS3, I plan to dig in a lil more over the weekend, busting into1:25 would be nice.

Not so sure bout slowest, you got me on Big fo sho, I got to practice a bit before the meet.

Got things set up much better today. Decided to run my Tomahawk X at the Nurb to prep for running the Seasonal. Once you get the feel of this beast she really moves, some sections it takes some seriously fast reflexes to stay flat & keep it all together. After about 5 or 6 near finishes tagging a red lap at various points, I got a lil bit of a feel for her and put down a 4:42.5XX my fastest so far at the Nurb. I've not run the X1 cars there but with the Tomahawk X around the X1's do become a lil more interesting, although they are a bit easier to drive fast, the Tomahawk in the right hands can hurt some feelings.

It's really fun to drive, as fast as I go I know there pretty much always a good deal of room for improvement. The rate the thing picks up when your foot is down is incredible. It's like it goes as fast as you can handle the controls, lap times not limited to abilities of the car but abilities of the driver, it will pretty much go as fast as the driver can handle.

I caught a bit of the briefing talking about the tech and engineering that went into the development of the car and its impressive and kinda what I was expecting. Serious thought, the brands spend cash on developing these Vision GT cars and its the designers and engineers who make the cars of today, its there Vision not exclusive to the future but also the what if's where regulations, restrictions, chains of meeting specs and conforming to safety rules are lifted...

Like what if F1 said

"bring the fastest you can build all regulations aside"

What would the car look like?

PoDi seem to think the X1, and its an interesting concept. I too don't like the kids online Trolling with them, but that's not the cars fault. I blame the losers with nothing better to do. The concept and its evolution are IMO quite probably the best answer to the question. Not so much exploiting possible future tech like the Tomahawk, but making use of current proven tech regulations aside.

The VGT program expanding upon this concept branching off to manufacturers letting the designers and engineers do what they wish they could if they had Carte Blanche from the Suits. The program also evolving to include making future concepts based on experimental tech. Not one is not based on real engineering. Not one is powered by fairy dust...

Blah blah blah aside I think the VGT have been one of my favorite parts of GT6. Almost every month we get a new concept and each one has been interesting. Some not as much as others but I think as the cars have been released brands see more potential in this epic program and what can be done with it. Are they all going to push the bar like the 2X and Tomahawk (X)? Probably not, but what do people expect with the next generation of Hyper Cars like the P1 and 918 on sale.. I see ERS systems being the next big thing to sweep brands as if it wasn't obvious. .

"Tomahawk" great name, do you have what it takes to put the Hammer down...

I tried the fastest Tomahawk in Nurburgring and it was impossible to me to drive. Then I decided to drive the track around, just to keep car on the track: time bronze + 2 min. I stopped driving when it was obvious that I must change everything in my wheel setup and practice around 200 hundred years.
I'm happy that someone can drive this very impressive and intresting missile. I get back to this car after recovering from this experience.

It's a quirky one. I actually found a bit of a trick to drive her.

I use the DRS aspect of the boost button to better get through some corners.

For example on the Nurb Turn 1 is under the speed the flaps deploy to fly the car through the corner, but as soon as you exit the speed crosses over the trigger speed and the flaps come out. Then the 2 slight kinks right can be seriously touchy, lotta oversteer.

What I do is as soon as I exit turn 1, I hit the ERS/DRS modulating the throttle to make it through the corners the car drives like any other. AS SOON as the car straightens out I release the ERS/DRS button as speed becomes so fast the flaps help through the next section of corners, you got to give fast preemptive inputs, corrections must be fast. The car responds well to digging into corners.

It feels twitchy when inputs are too slow, speed them up and she will reward you.

The long uphill climb is crazy fun flat out, just be quick on the wheel and you can stay WOT from exiting the right hander at the start, all the way to the left hand sweeper at the end.

I'll get my equipment set up later and record the lap. It's not the fastest, but its fast and clean. 4:42.5XX seems like a good time to me Happy

One question about physics: when the body rigidity is getting worse, is the worsening linear type or step type of worsening? When body rigidity is still green, can You get any advantage to improve rigidity?

I feel it's progressive, but using added rigidity lessens the negative effect. However it might be some kinda step as usually it's not a killer until near light coming on. I've not tried to test it as its something difficult to say exact one way or the other. Most Probably its a progressive step over a given distance.

Usually by the time the light comes on she's well off pace.

What's cool about arcade mode is the miles don't add wear to the car so one can tune with the car not changing as you tune it. Cars are fully broken in too so we don't have to drive them till the cars broken in before tuning. Often in older GT people think "hey this tune is making me faster" when its just the HP building up as the car breaks in.

I like to do my tuning in the state the car will be in when properly maintained, I prefer this to having to do a sorta break in after a restore.
